Welcome Hello and welcome to our optional booklet for 2018. We have created individual books for all of our regions, so if you are studying in England, Scotland, Vancouver, Toron- to, San Diego or New York, you will find a much greater selection of entrances suggested to enhance your time with Oxford International. As well as new attractions, we have expanded those that are able to offer that little something extra for students, whether through workshops, private collections or alter- native tours. Each page contains an overview of the desti- nation, what the students will see and do, and what they get for their money. Optional excursions 2018 It is very helpful for us if you book these optional excur- sions ahead of your trip. However, it is of course possible for your group leaders to book them from their Activity Manager when they arrive at their centres. Please note that this list is by no means exhaustive. If there is some- where not listed here that your groups really want to see, please contact us and we will gladly price the excursion for you. On top of that you will find hockey related merchandise and souvenirs for most teams in the league. Royal Ontario Casa Loma Museum Casa Loma is the only landmark castle in North America. Professional Argonauts Sports The Toronto Argonauts aka "the Argos," are a professional Canadian football team in the CFL (Canadian Football League). Founded in 1873, the team is the oldest existing professional sports team in Blue Jays North America still using its original name! IELTS Test Oxford International’s downtown affiliate schools are also official IELTS test centers! Students and/or leaders can sit for the exam on any day the test is offered, and will enjoy our professionally administered exams in a comfortable, friendly environment. Both the speaking and the written exam can be taken in one day, and exams are typically given on three Saturdays and one Thursday of each month. If students are travelling across North America, they can also take the IELTS test at one of our 14 other test locations across Canada and the USA. Cambridge’s IELTS exam is the premiere qualification for entrance to Universities in English-speaking countries, for immigration and for professional requirements. With superior recognition, the exam is preferred by students and Universities for its accuracy, fairness and assessment method.
