FROM THE PRESIDENT WELCOME TO NASHVILLE AND THE GRAND OLE OPRY! WELCOME TO THE BEST MIDWINTER IN SOCIETY HISTORY! Skipp Kropp has said exactly that for each of the last two years and I say it again, because every Midwinter since Don’t miss the the first one has been even more interesting and more opportunity to meet exciting than the year before. Nashville and the Grand and talk with Dick Ole Opry are sure to maintain that tradition. Powell and other Society leaders at the Town Hall Be sure to enjoy everything this wonderful location has Meeting on Thursday to offer. Stroll through the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, dine from 3 - 4 P.M. in the Governor’s Ballroom C. in restaurants to suit every taste and pocketbook, marvel at the Next Generation Junior Quartet and Chorus performers; cheer on your favorites in the Seniors Quartet Contest and the Seniors Chorus Invitational; and enjoy the 100+ member all-chapter chorus. If that were not enough, take some time to sample some of the Harmony University classes that will be offered throughout the convention. And don’t forget the Keynote Address from Theo Hicks on Thursday afternoon. But there’s far more to do than watching others sing and perform. Take advantage of the opportunity to renew old friendships, create new ones, and sing and ring tags with singers young and old. Savor the warm, accepting, and encouraging culture that is the hallmark of our Society and enjoy the company of over 2,000 fellow barbershoppers. Two years ago we announced our new strategic vision to take us into a bright future. Here in Nashville you’ll experience that vision in action. Thank you for joining my wife Roxanne and me and so many of our friends to celebrate our love of music and witness first-hand the power of Everyone in Harmony! Society President BARBERSHOP.ORG/NASHVILLE #BHSOPRY 1
