Luminous nativity scene, decorations and Epiphany on the Bridge of Miracles

Rimini, the world's longest New Year's Eve
The bridge of the Resistance, where it is said that St. Anthony preached to the fish, is decorated throughout the
Christmas period with scallops, a symbol of Christians, decorated with good wishes in different languages, a
multicultural initiative in memory of Davide Farinella.
On the bridge there is a luminous nativity scene created by Salvatore Federici, with illuminated iron shapes. Here
you can admire the Nativity in polychrome wood shaped by the Carlini Shipyard.
The highlight is January 6 with the representation of 'Epiphany on the Bridge', with the naval procession and the
adoration of the Three Kings, along the canal port.
The initiative is curated by the Ponte dei Miracoli Association in collaboration with the Marineria di Rimini
associations.

Non-competitive walk in Borgo San Giuliano
Traditional walk - non-competitive - for all ages in search of the Befane hidden in the maze of the narrow streets
of the old fishing village and up to the square on the water at the Tiberius Bridge.
The participation fees (3 €) are entirely donated for charity and it is an occasion to do a small physical activity, to
be shared with the whole family.
Event organized by La Società de Borg in collaboration with Grip Dimension, Rimini Marathon and the Borgo San
Giuliano Traders' Association.

In memory of Stefano Venturini
Also this year, the retailers, committees and associations of San Giuliano Mare in Rimini, propose the event in
memory of Tete Venturini. The Marina di Rimini hosts the event, where a floating nativity scene is set up on the
historic boats of Vele al Terzo Rimini.
Inauguration of the event, Saturday 17 December round 4.00 pm, with lightning and blessing of the nativity scene,
preceded by a scenographic underwater torchlight procession and the arrival of the 'luminous Santa Claus' on jet
skis.
The event ends with the distribution of panettone, sweets, hot chocolate and Santa Claus gifts to children.
In case of bad weather the party is postponed to Sunday 18 December at the same time.
The nativity scene remains on site until January 6, 2023.

‘A Nativity scene for the city’ is the traditional Nativity scene of the Zavatta onlus centre, which represents the
nativity scene in the heart of the historic center and is organized with the contribution of the Association's

The nativity is set up according to tradition in the splendid setting of the Arch of Augustus, where it will remain on
display until the weekend following the Epiphany.

Ice skating rink and Christmas Circus and market in Marina Centro
The Ice village 'with a sea view' rises in the heart of Marina Centro, a stone's throw from the Grand Hotel, near the
fountain of the Four Horses.
Children and adults can skate on ice just a few metres from the sea inside a Christmas Village full of
entertainment.
For the little ones, carousels, games and Santa Claus's house, while a large marquee on the Rotonda of the
Grand Hotel hosts the Christmas Circus Show, where, from 16 December to 8 January, there will be
entertainment and shows for all.
On 31 December, the Children's New Year is celebrated starting at 9.30 pm with games, music, dancing,
entertainment... panettone, sparkling wine and sweets (for reservations +39 338 4654085).
On January 6, the Befana arrives, entertaining the children throughout the day and accompaniing them inside the
circus to participate in the shows.
Christmas lights and decorations make the atmosphere even more suggestive, while the most loved mascots can

The exhibition with the photographs of the master Saro Di Bartolo, intends to address the theme of the universal
right to care for suffering and pain.
With his 175 works, the artist proposes the most significant steps of his creative path. A series of reportages and
experimental creative projects. Works through which, starting from his Rimini, the photographer recounts his
artistic evolution over the span of five decades.
The exhibition is organized by the ISAL Foundation in support of research on chronic incurable pain.

time: Leon Battista Alberti, Piero della Francesca, Agostino di Duccio, Matteo dè Pasti and Roberto Valturio, and
place of their eternal rest and undying love.
The story of their love will be told through the deeds of this leader and patron of the arts, cultured intellectual and
man of arms and passions, who despite his reputation as an unscrupulous man, knew how to love his Isotta in an
extraordinary way, making her immortal in the works he erected and in literature. In fact, the figure of Isotta also
inspired the poet Ezra Pound in his Malatesta songs.

Photographic exhibition celebrating the centenary of the birth of Amedeo Montemaggi (1923-2023), with
unpublished images from the archive of this important protagonist of the city's culture.
Known as a journalist, founder of the Rimini editorial staff of Resto del Carlino in the 1950s, popularizer of the
artistic beauties of Rimini and finally a historian with a passion for the events of the Gothic Line, his photographic
activity was so far completely unknown, documented by the recent discovery in his home of over 40,000
negatives.
These are visual testimonies of the reconstruction of Rimini's society and landscapes, with the first years of the
tourist boom, social events, fashion and personalities of that era in which the foundations of contemporary Rimini
were laid.

The Rimini Marathon is back, the great national and international sporting event that involves an entire city,
touching the most characteristic and evocative places and squares.
In addition to the 42 km marathon and the 21 km half marathon, there are: La Ventina 20 km, Family Run 6 km,
Kids Run 1 km.
Also this year the national gathering of wheelchair "pushers" will be re-proposed, or groups that make disabled
people experience the thrill of a marathon, pushing wheelchairs for all 42 kilometers.
The marathon village is set up at the Arco d'Augusto, where, in addition to collecting the race package, there are

'Lazarus' is the title of the surprising rock-work conceived and wanted by David Bowie shortly before his death,
written alongside award-winning Irish playwright Enda Walsh, inspired by Walter Tevis' The Man Who Fell to
Earth.
Lazarus, which premiered Off-Broadway at the New York Theater Workshop on December 7, 2015 (Bowie's last
public appearance), offers a sort of sequel to the story of the unhappy interstellar migrant Newton, forced to stay
on Earth.

Urban visions by Davide Frisoni

PERLarte project at the Rimini Conference Center (Palacongressi)
After the exhibition with the works of Luca Giovagnoli and Davide Conti, and of the sixteen students of the
Graphic Design 3 course of the LABA of Rimini (Free Academy of Fine Arts), is Davide Frisoni’s turn to propose
his works in a multipurpose space of Palacongressi, the Convivio space, the area that the Palacongressi of Rimini
has allocated to the PERLarte project, an initiative that adds a further element of knowledge of the territory
through the language of contemporary art and the enhancement of a local artist.
The exhibition by the Rimini artist Davide Frisoni offers international places from which the artist drew inspiration,
as well as of course the city of Rimini, a city dedicated to welcoming and meeting.
The exhibition is available to participants in the congresses scheduled at the Palacongressi in Rimini and by
reservation for citizens and tourists.
On December 16-17-18, Davide Frisoni's exhibition is open to the public with free admission from 4 to 7 pm.

Contemporary art exhibition at the City Museum
45 works of contemporary art by 36 artists, awarded in 2021 as part of the tender promoted by the Emilia-
Romagna Region to support the visual arts sector hit in the pandemic era, exhibited in Rimini, in the New Wing of
the City Museum.
The works, were selected by a jury made up of accredited experts in the sector (Gloria Bartoli, Walter Guadagnini
and Marco Pierini) with the aim of identifying "the variety of the research that is being developed in the Emilia-
Romagna area, a faithful mirror of the variety that characterizes the contemporary artistic panorama ".
The New Wing of the Museum will also host two extraordinary donations from the Bolognese patron
Francesco Amante, an art enthusiast entrepreneur, who granted to the Region ‘Collection of Paths’ (1995) by
Emil Lukas and to the Municipality of Rimini ‘Terza camera’ (Lettiga) (2007) by Flavio Favelli.
The exhibition is curated by Cristina Ambrosini, Claudia Collina and Giovanni Sassu, with the collaboration of
Alessandro Paolo Lena.
