Essential Oils Unlocked PJ Hanks dōTERRA Team Membership Benefits Explained Welcome Thank you for wanting to learn more about the benefits of having a dōTERRA membership. As you go through this ebook, you are welcome to download any forms and copy links and materials in this course that you may need later to maximize your membership benefits. However, I ask that you not copy the content of the ebook for purposes of creating your own course without permission. Some Important Details Types of Accounts There are two types of accounts in dōTERRA. One is a Wellness Customer and the other is a Wellness Advocate. The main difference between these accounts is that customer accounts cannot enroll someone in dōTERRA nor receive a check from dōTERRA. Wellness Advocates share the oils and enroll others and are compensated financially by dōTERRA. Wellness Advocates include those who share casually and earn enough to pay for their monthly product purchases, those who share on a part-time basis and earn a part-time income, and those who share and build dōTERRA as a full- time business and earn enough to have financial freedom. Both types of accounts get 25% off purchases and get to participate in various specials that dōTERRA offers. See the following chart for more details on the two accounts. 1
How to Update Your Information (address, etc.) You may find that you want to update your phone number, address, or email address in your dōTERRA account. If you enrolled as a Wellness Advocate and plan on sharing dōTERRA with others, you can follow these same steps to update your website information. (Wellness Advocates receive a replicated website to share with others and you can include your photo and a short information piece about yourself.) How to update profile and website info: 1. Go to www.doterra.com 2. Click Login and type in your id and your password. (If you don't know your id or password, please contact the person that enrolled you.) 3. Click Login. If this is the first time you're logging in, you may be asked to verify your information. If so, follow the steps to do so. 2
4. Click on your name in the upper right and a menu will appear, choose Account Profile. 5. Click on Edit (pencil) for My Profile, My Website, or My Business 6. Make changes as needed (or upload photo if you're a Wellness Advocate) 7. Click Save 8. You can explore the site if you would like, when you're done, click on your name again and choose Logout. How to See Previous Order Information For more information about how to see your previous orders, see these instructions from dōTERRA. https://www.doterra.com/US/en/access-previous-orders Basic Terminology Every organization and company have phrases, acronyms, and words that are used that may not be familiar to new people coming into the company or who have never heard of the company's products. dōTERRA is no different. You may start hearing phrases like "Dilute before use," or "citrus oils are cold pressed," or even "CPTG." You will find it helpful to review this chart of some of the terminology used among dōTERRA members. See how many you already knew. 3

PLACING ORDERS AND EARNING FREE PRODUCTS What is PV PV stands for product value. Each dōTERRA product has been assigned a value. The product value (PV) may not necessarily equal the dollar amount of the product. Essential oils and most of the supplements have product value and dollar price as equal. However, the price of diffusers does not equal the PV assigned to them, as do some of the collections and other products. When specials are offered in dōTERRA, such as earning free product for a 200PV order, you have to note the PV value of the products you are ordering and not the dollar amount. There is an area in the shopping cart where you can see the PV of your order. Product value also matters to those who are participating in the Loyalty Reward Program (LRP) program. This is dōTERRA’s subscription/monthly service. When you are on the LR program and purchase monthly and when your order is over 50pv you earn points or PV from dōTERRA. You can accumulate these points and use them to redeem for free product. dōTERRA products that do not match PV to dollar price (such as diffusers) cannot be purchased with point redemption. Many of us use our accumulated points to purchase the more expensive oils such as Rose, Melissa, and Jasmine. Types of Orders The biggest benefit of a dōTERRA membership is that you get wholesale pricing for the entire year of your membership. By the way, your account will automatically renew for another year when you place your first order after your anniversary date. On that renewal order you will be charged $25 for your next year of membership and dōTERRA will include a free bottle of peppermint essential oil for your renewal! 5
Your wholesale cost of all the dōTERRA’s products is 25% off of the retail price. If you would like to see the latest product catalog online here is the link: http://media.doterra.com/us/en/brochures/product-guide.pdf As a member you have a choice of placing two different orders. Regardless of the type you choose, your wholesale pricing still applies. One order type is the One-Time Order. This works best for those who do not want to order on a regular basis and aren't interested in earning free products as a loyal customer. If you are not on the Loyalty Reward Program, one-time orders can be used for dōTERRA’s occasional special offers such as when they offer something free for a 200 PV order. And, they can also be placed for items that are available as limited time offers such a holiday products. The second type of order is the Loyalty Reward Order (LRO). This is dōTERRA’s monthly subscription order and it has the benefits of earning points for your orders that can then be used to redeem for free product. (If you plan to share the oils with friends and want to receive compensation from dōTERRA, you need to place loyalty reward orders of 100PV minimum each month.) The LRO has the most benefits. As a dōTERRA member you can purchase all of the products at the wholesale price of 25% below retail pricing. If you have already set up your orders on the Loyalty Reward program, there may be occasion when you do a one-time order. For example, when you want to order some brochures. However, as an LRO participant, you do not earn any points for products ordered on a One-Time order. 6
How to place a one-time order: 1. Go to doterra.com 2. Click Login and type in your id and your password. (If you don't know your id or password, please contact the person that enrolled you.) 3. Click Login. 4. Choose Create New One-Time Order 5. Click Shop on the Menu bar. 6. Select the Category of products 7. Find the product you want and add it to the cart. 8. Continue to shop for the products you want. 9. When you are ready to finish your order, click on the Cart on the Menu bar. 10. Select Review One-Time Order 11. Complete all the information needed to complete your order 12. Select Proceed to Check out and finish all the payment information and finish the order. How to Set Up a Loyalty Reward Order To set up a Loyalty Reward for the first time: 1. Login to your account at www.doterra.com 2. Click on Create New LRP Order 3. Pick the date you want the order to ship (you can change this each month). 4. Add items to your cart 5. Verify your shipment information 6. Add your payment information. 7. Save the order or click Process Now. 7

The only way to delete your main Loyalty Reward order/template is to call Member Services at 800-411-8151. (Make sure you have redeemed any points you have earned before doing this.) Deleting a LRO template will erase any earned points and any advancement you have made in the LRO percentage process. For example, if you have been placing an LRO for over a year and your order has exceeded 50 PV each month, then you will be earning 30% back on each order. If you delete your LRO template by 8
calling Member Services you lose your 30% back benefit. If you re-start an LRO later, you will start over again at 10% and will need to earn your way back to 30% over the course of another year. The Importance of Checking the Box! Make sure you are marking the box in your order for Personal Consumption when you place your order!! The ONLY reason to leave this box un-marked is if you are buying oils at wholesale and selling them at retail. Then dōTERRA collects the extra sales tax for you. IF YOU are NOT reselling products at RETAIL - then you SHOULD mark this box. Otherwise, you are paying a higher tax rate on your order!! How to Redeem Free Points Product points accumulate from each LRO (loyalty reward order) you place. The percentage of product points that you earn (ranging from 10 to 30 percent) depends on the type of enrollment kit you purchase when you enrolled. Product point percentages will grow every quarter until you reach a maximum of 30 percent. Additionally, when you place your order online, you earn 100 percent of your shipping costs back as points. The dōTERRA Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP) provides free product credits (points) for monthly purchases ordered on the program. As a participant in the Loyalty Rewards Program, you will immediately begin to earn points that can be used as cash to purchase dōTERRA products. The longer you participate, the more points you can earn—up to 30% of your total monthly Loyalty Rewards purchases! To have your points applied to an order, you can do it in your Shopping Cart. Points will be redeemable 90 days following enrollment. If the LRP (loyalty reward program) is cancelled before 60 days, as a new Wellness Advocate you will not receive points awarded. (Points earned through an incentive, can be redeemed prior to the 90 days.) 9
SRP (shipping reward programs) points will expire based on the same expiration schedule as LRP points and will be added to accounts during the commission run approximately 15 days after the end of each month. Some terms & conditions regarding the Loyalty Rewards Program: • Minimum monthly Loyalty Rewards order of 50 PV to earn points • Orders with a minimum of 1 PV* will maintain both Loyalty Reward level (%) and previously accrued points • No maximum monthly points accumulation limit • Reward points expire 12 months from the date of issue • Reward points can be used to purchase full PV products only • Reward points can be redeemed by phone (1-800-411-8151) or online in the new shopping cart • Redemption orders have no PV • A redemption fee of $3, applicable taxes, and shipping and handling charges will apply • Must be an LRP participant for 60 days before reward points can be redeemed • All reward points and percentage will be immediately cancelled with LRP cancellation • Reward points have no cash redemption value and are non-transferable • Products purchased with LRP points are not for resale • Cancellation of LRP order must take place over the telephone by calling Member Services at 1-800-411-8151 • Loyalty Rewards orders must exceed 50 PV per single order to earn Reward Points.Loyalty • Rewards orders must exceed 50 PV per single order to advance Loyalty Reward levels (%). How to See How Many Points You Have 1. Login to your account at www.doterra.com 2. Click on your name at top and Account Profile. 10
3. Scroll down and on the right side you’ll see Reward Points as well as the percentage accrual rate. How to Redeem Your Points on a One-Time Order 1. Login to your account at www.doterra.com 2. Click on Create New One-time Order 3. An empty cart will appear, choose Shop Products and the category of what you want. Locate the item you want and choose Add to Cart. 4. Continue adding items to the cart, when you want to view the cart and apply points, click the cart icon in the upper right corner and choose Review One-Time Order. 5. Verify that the For Personal Consumption check box is selected. 6. The amount of remaining points you have that can be applied to product is in the middle of the cart. 7. To apply the points to a product, select the down arrow next to the product for Use Product. 8. When you’re finished and ready to complete your order, make sure all of the information for shipping and payment is complete and click Proceed to Checkout 9. Review the order and click Process Now. How to Redeem Your Points on a Loyalty Reward Order This video takes you through how to redeem your points on a Loyalty Reward Order: https://youtu.be/lmC7uaeSoJk A Few Other Available Items to Purchase As you start using essential oils you may find it helpful to put an oil in a roller bottle and dilute it with fractionated coconut oil (FCO). Or, perhaps you will want to make recipes using essential oils to make your own cleaning products for around the home and office and need spray bottles. Perhaps you're wondering where you can find these items to purchase. dōTERRA has some DIY (do-it-yourself) items you can purchase on your order such as roller bottles, pumps for the fractionated coconut oil, and even key 11
chains to make it easy to carry around small amounts of your favorite oils. You will find these products under Shop Products > Other Products > DIY Accessories. If you need assistance finding them and adding them to your cart, reach out to the Wellness Advocate who enrolled you or who is helping you learn. Occasionally dōTERRA offers some limited time offers (usually at holidays such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Convention, and Christmas). You'll find these products (after logging into your account) on the Products menu, under Other Products > Special Offers. You will usually find these announced on our team Facebook Group (EOU Gathering Place). Shipping Rewards dōTERRA gives you back your shipping costs in points! The Shipping Rewards Program helps a Wellness Advocate or Wholesale Customer earn free product points that can be used toward purchasing orders. Any Wholesale Customer or Wellness Advocate can earn Shipping Reward Program (SRP) Points in 3 ways: • By placing any online order • By placing a Loyalty Rewards (LRP) or enrollment order • By placing an online LRP or enrollment order . ONLINE ORDER --> 50% of shipping in SRP points OR LOYALTY REWARDS ORDER (LRP) or ENROLLMENT ORDER --> 50% of shipping in SRP points OR ONLINE LRP or ENROLLMENT ORDER --> 100% of shipping in SRP points Any online or automated order placed by a Wellness Advocate or Wholesale Customer will receive 50 percent of the value of the shipping costs in Shipping Reward Program (SRP) points. 12
Any Loyalty Rewards or enrollment order placed through our member services line will receive 50 percent of the value of the shipping costs in SRP points. If a Loyalty Rewards or enrollment order is placed online* the consultant or member will receive 100 percent of the shipping costs in SRP points (in essence, free shipping). An online or automated order is an order placed by a Wellness Advocate or Wholesale Customer online through their back office that remains untouched by a customer service agent.
