Copyright 2012 www.improve-my-libido.com Author: Jonathan Remington Introduction Certain foods help you to maintain a naturally high sex drive if you eat them more often. We know that these special foods can boost libido because of their tested and proven effects on the human body. On the other hand, there are foods that can clog up your liver, lower your testosterone levels, increase cholesterol levels, block your arteries, slow down metabolism and cause weight gain. These are the specific foods that you should be avoiding if you want to maintain hard erections. Hard erections depend on the presence of several factors: 1. Testosterone levels 2. Good blood circulation 3. Physical condition (weight) 4. Functioning liver 5. Absence of medical side effects Naturally, for libido and erections to remain permanently strong, a man should also take care of his physical shape, sleep well, partake in regular physical activity and avoid alcohol, smoking and poor nutritional habits. Before doing any of the above, a man needs to know what foods could be inadvertently destroying erection strength, frequency and quality. Once he’s eliminated these killers, he can concentrate on maintaining erection health with other techniques. Copyright 2012 www.improve-my-libido.com Author: Jonathan Remington Junk Food How It Kills Erections Junk food is the worst offender of all and can cause rapid weight gain, higher blood pressure, higher cholesterol levels and lower testosterone. Pizza, burgers, fries, and sugar OR diet soda drinks can have highly negative consequences when consumed on a regular basis. Consuming white flour based bread (or buns) together with animal fats and certain chemical treatments used for meat and for flavouring affect several bodily functions simultaneously. High animal fat consumption can causes plaques to form in blood vessels and raises cholesterol. This stops the blood reaching the penis in adequate amounts for healthy, hard erections. High white flour consumption can convert to fat which often accumulates on the waist or neck. Being overweight can lead to low testosterone and higher estrogen levels. Certain chemicals used to enhance flavour can also raise estrogen levels. Extra sugar in soda also converts to fat. For diet soda drinkers, there is plenty of conversy to suggest that aspartame could have highly negative effects on health. Page 4 of 10
Copyright 2012 www.improve-my-libido.com Author: Jonathan Remington Processed Food How It Kills Erections Processed food is typically that which you buy in plastic packaging that is fully prepared and ready to eat after heating or cooking directly from the package. High levels of sodium are often detected in processed frozen foods. Regular high salt intake can be bad for the human heart, cause dehydration and can raise blood pressure. Frozen pizzas, pre-prepared microwave or oven meals also often contain a high number of chemical additives and flavour enhancers which can reduce your ability to produce testosterone properly. Plastic packaging that is used with frozen processed foods sometimes seeps chemicals such as Bisphenol-A which is considered an endocrine disruptor and according to studies, has a number of other negative effects including genital deformity, low sperm production, obesity and even cancer. Canned drinks can also contain traces of such chemicals. Reducing your consumption of drinks from cans and plastic bottles is highly recommended. Finally, chips, sugar snacks, breakfast cereals and prepared sauces are all processed foods. Page 5 of 10
Copyright 2012 www.improve-my-libido.com Author: Jonathan Remington Sugar And Desserts How They Kills Erections While sugar and desserts may be tasty, consuming them regularly or developing a “sweet tooth” can contribute to weight gain in the gut area, and subsequently a lower level of testosterone and less efficient blood circulation. If you are in the habit of taking desserts regularly, eating cookies or cakes as snacks, or bingeing on chocolate then you need to change your habits. Many sweets, pastries and desserts contain white sugar foods. When white sugar is refined, a number of chemical agents are used including phosphoric acid, formic acid, sulphur dioxide and bleaching agents. Regular consumption of the above can have serious negative consequences including weight gain, reduced liver functionality, loss of energy and depletion of minerals and vitamins from the body. The impact on erections is devastating. Weight gain reduces circulation and testosterone. Lack of vitamins and minerals causes further hormonal imbalance and affects the nervous system. Page 6 of 10
Copyright 2012 www.improve-my-libido.com Author: Jonathan Remington White Flour Foods How They Kills Erections White flour is present in a high number of foods and there is a very high chance that you are eating at least some of these on a regular basis. The worst kind of white flour will be full of harmful preservatives, devoid of nutritional value and at best a substance which does little other than make you feel full. White flour is very often bleached with a whitening agent. The purpose of this is improve and reduce cooking time. This is where chemicals such as chorine dioxide, calcium peroxide and sodium benzoate are used. In pasta (unless it’s whole grain), noodles, white bread, brown bread, cakes, chips, pretzels, bagels, muffins, doughnuts, crackers white flour is probably being used. Regular high levels of these refined carbs give a fast boost of energy and as a result, the pancreas needs to release more insulin than it is used to releasing in order to maintain blood sugar levels. Weight gain tends to occur much faster with regular consumption of white flour foods than with consumption of other foods that are just as rich in calories such as nuts and fruits. This is because refined carbohydrates alter the metabolism. Being overweight is the enemy of your erections. Page 7 of 10
Copyright 2012 www.improve-my-libido.com Author: Jonathan Remington Soy Based Foods How They Kills Erections Soy is regularly promoted as a health food and as a healthy alternative to using animal-based products. It can even be found as a supplement in some bodybuilding stores. However, before you make your daily meal of tofu and soy beans, let’s have a closer look. Research proves that soy is an estrogen- mimicking subtance. This means that it binds to the estrogen receptors in your body, causing your estrogen levels to increase. As you may know, higher levels of estrogen in a man’s body can lead to female characteristics such as male breasts, general weight gain, lactating and weak erections. Soy isoflavone supplements are often taking by men who wish to become women. Unless you plan on becoming one yourself, it’s a good idea to avoid any soy-based foods. These include tofu, tempeh, soybeans, soy milk and soy protein powder. In addition to this, much soy that is produced in the Western world is genetically modified. So if you do eat soy, stick to safer fermented forms and keep it minimal. Page 8 of 10
