Ideas for Getting Started: Church Calendar This document includes special days celebrated by the Catholic Church and other religions around the world as well as key national and international dates. These are not complete lists of special days but your Chaplaincy Team but even so your Chaplaincy Team should choose which topics/themes/celebrations to focus on each month as it is not recommended that all dates are celebrated. It is better to do less and do them well. We hope that you can bring them to life with your energy and interesting ways of sharing them with others, especially through your prayer and worship. At the end of this document there are some ideas for involving pupils in the planning, preparation, leading and evaluation of worship although there are more resources and websites to support you further in Prayer, Worship and Liturgy Support Document. If you have any questions, please ask your priest/chaplain and make links with special visitors from other faiths. Most of all, please enjoy sharing these with pupils in your school so you can help others to know God and build a better world for all. 2|Page
