EITA ELEVATOR ANNUAL DINNER 2018 On 14th July 2018, Saturday, EITA Elevator Group of Companies held its 2018 Annual Dinner at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Petaling Jaya. Theme for this Annual Dinner was Cultural Night in embracing all aspect of our multi-racial culture, rich in diversification and working in harmony. Staff of EITA Elevator (M), EITA-Schneider (M), Sigriner Automation, EITA Research & Development, including guests from other EITA subsidiaries and several sub-contractors were invited to the event. With the Cultural Night theme, many staff came dressed up in various cultural costumes such as Sarong, Baju Kurung, Baju Kebaya, Cheongsam, Saree, Kurta, etc.
In making this event successful, annual dinner committee had started to prepare few weeks back with the lead by Mr. MK Tan:- • Invitation to the staff and guest. This year there were an attendance of over 260 staff. • Preparation of door gifts, pre-lucky draw prize, grand lucky draw present, awards with certificate, performance gifts and best-dress prizes. • Campaign to encourage staff’s participation in putting on fantastic performance! • Coordination of venue, accommodation, transport, food and beverage and so on. • Planning exciting program flow to ensure smooth rundown for the night, with memorable experience. • Many more other tasks such as decoration, reception preparation, rehearsal arrangement with performers and equipment sourcing, budget survey and compilation, banner with staff photo printed and so on. Cooperation and involvement of committee and attendees had brought the event into an awesome and joyful night: -
This Annual Dinner “Cultural Night” was planned to start at 7:00pm evening. However, we had staff arriving as early as 6:00pm. Staff then proceeded to registration with pre-lucky draw prize and door gift given at the Registration Counter. Every staff stood a chance to win the voucher prepared and at the same time, entitled to grab away Grand Lucky Draw Prizes. Among those attractive prizes were IPhone, Television, Washing Machine, Air-Conditioning, Refrigerator and many other electrical appliances, with the top prize being a Smartphone Samsung S9! The night started with Crowd games hosted by MC Mr. MK Tan, with a great success in warming up the atmosphere. Close-up puzzle picture of elevator’s equipment parts were shown and staff rushed to eagerly participated with the correct answer winning vouchers. Shortly after, it continued with the opening speech by Mr. JS Lim, MD for EITA Elevator Group emphasizing on the 8 Mentality of Blessed Person, in work life as well as social life. Next, the dinner was served with variety choices of oriental and western food such as Golden Fortune Wanton, Oven Baked Butter Fish, and Buttered Oats Tiger Prawns and so on. Not to forget about the Whole Roasted Lamb with peppermint sauce. As the staff were enjoying their dinner, they were looking forward to the long-awaited staff performances. Live Band performance was the first act with songs “Stand by Me” & “Zombie”. Audience enjoyed the show and even sang along with performers. Next act, was an instrumental performance of Chinese flute, keyboard & DIY sound pipe playing the song “Sada Borneo”. This was then followed by a solo Saxophone performance with song “Perfect”. The subsequent act was by a singing group that sang “You Raise Me Up” and followed by the most exciting Dance Performance of a group of beautiful ladies. All the guests applauded these wonderful performances presented by staffs. Indeed fantastic efforts by performers in creating a memorable and fun night.
Long Serviced Award of 5-Year, 10-Year & 15-Year were presented to staffs with the voucher and certificate as the appreciation for their service and work contribution. Total there were 14 awardees with 5 years, 3 awardees with 10 years and 2 awardees with 15 years. Not to miss out as well, Competent Person (CP) Award given to staffs in recognizing their professional achievement in obtaining their respective CP grade. There were total 13 persons with CP3 and 2 persons with CP2.
Next, was the Best Dressed Man and Women competition, chosen according to the theme of the night. They were called up on to stage to present their costumes and had to do a fun performance. All selected participants received prizes. At the end, Mr. JS Lim then gave his closing speech and the night was perfectly ended with a big group photo of all staffs and guests. Lastly, staff took the opportunity to sign the name on a big banner (with their faces printed) which later will be hung at EITA Elevator office!
