Annual Parish Golf Tournament
Blessed Trinity Catholic Church is sponsoring its 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on
Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at Stoneybrook East Golf Club. The tournament will begin at
8:00am. We encourage all golfers ( Men & Women) no matter what your handicap to come
out and play . This is a scramble format (4 person teams) so everyone gets a chance to hit
the ball from the best location. Yes, we do sell mulligans to give you that extra shot if you
need it. The cost to play is $80.00 which includes all fees, plus range balls, and lunch. You
will also be eligible for many great prizes just for participating. Come out and join the fun!
If you want to help we are looking for hole sponsors. We have Platinum , Gold, Silver and
Bronze Sponsor packages available. Please let us know if you know of a business or
individual who would like to be a sponsor or someone who wants to donate a prize for our
silent auction. All proceeds from this tournament will be used to support charitable

La Palabra: Hablada, Escrita, Vivida
Octavo Domingo Ordinario
Sirácides 27:4‐7; 1 Corin os 15:54‐58; Lucas 6:39‐45
Sirácides es uno de los Libros Sapienciales, lleno de sen do común. Mu-
chas de las enseñanzas de Jesús entran en esta misma categoría. Como
tal, hoy escuchamos dos dichos que son casi intercambiables.
Sirácides escribe: “El árbol bien cul vado se manifiesta en sus frutos; así
la palabra expresa la índole de cada uno”. Jesús dice: “Cada árbol se reco-
noce por su fruto… porque de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca”.
Entonces cuando la gente enojada usa el nombre de Jesucristo, ¿Qué clase de fruto se manifiesta?
María en La Sale e se refiere a esto de manera directa. Su pueblo, su pueblo cris ano, al abusar así
del nombre de su Hijo, manifiesta tener un corazón an cris ano.
Alguien podría decir, “no significa nada en absoluto” Pero esto solo hace que el comportamiento sea
peor. ¿Cómo podemos pronunciar aquel nombre como si no significara nada? Recordemos lo que
San Pedro dijo ante el Sanedrín: “No existe bajo el cielo otro Nombre dado a los hombres, por el
cual podamos alcanzar la salvación” (Hechos 4:12).
Mirándolo desde el lado opuesto, está la Palabra de Dios, en las Sagradas Escrituras. En los Evange-
lios, la palabra “escrito” aparece alrededor de cincuenta veces, invocando la autoridad de la Palabra
de Dios para establecer asuntos o probar un punto, así como San Pablo lo hace cuando escribe,
“Entonces se cumplirá la palabra de la Escritura: La muerte ha sido vencida”.
La Bella Señora se queja porque su pueblo no muestra ningún interés en escuchar la Palabra de
Dios. “Sólo van algunas mujeres ancianas a Misa”. Cuán lejos de las palabras de Jesús, “Felices los
que escuchan la Palabra de Dios y la prac can”. (Lucas 11, 28).
La mayoría de nosotros tenemos que atenernos a las traducciones para entender las Escrituras. En
La Sale e María cambió su lenguaje al dilecto local cuando vio que los niños no entendían lo que les
estaba diciendo en francés. Esto demuestra cuán importante era para ella que su mensaje fuera co-
nocido por todo su pueblo.
La Palabra de Dios en toda su importancia también debe ser traducida, y no solamente en los mu-
chos idiomas del mundo, sino en el idioma que realmente importa: el idioma de nuestra vida.

Apoye a Nuestras tropas
Dos veces al año, el Concilio Católico de Mujeres de La Santísima Trinidad, envían “Galletas a las tropas” Paquetes de
Cuidado. El pasado noviembre se enviaron 137 cajas de galletas y otras cosas de uso para nuestras tropas que están
sirviendo en combate. ¡Necesitamos su ayuda otra vez! Dona artículos para enviar a las tropas.

*Palomitas de maíz *Libros de cómicas
*Queso curls/Beef Jerky *Paquetes individuales de klenex
*Bolsitas de frezar *Paquetes de limpiador de manos
*Paquetes pequeños de galletas o maní *Paquetes pequeños de nueces, pretzel
*Dulce duro/coma de mascar *paquetes pequeños de crema bronceadora
*Sobres de sabor para poner en el agua *protección labial
*Tarjetas en blanco *Ayuda económica para el gasto de envió
Estas cosas tan insignificantes que muchos tomamos por dado, son las que pueden ha-
cer a nuestros hombres y mujeres sirviendo en el ejército sentirse más cerca de sus
hogares. Si conoces algún soldado que este sirviendo fuera del país, y te gustaría que
recibieran un paquete, por favor dar su nombre y dirección a Pat Matteson 407-733-
3069 o en la Oficina Parroquial. Por favor pongan donaciones en las cajas rojas o traerlas al
Centro de Bienvenida Margadas “Troop Care Packs” para el 23 de marzo. Las cajas serán empaca-
das el sábado marzo 17 de manera que le lleguen para Easter. ¡Que el Señor los Bendiga y gracias
por su apoyo!
