THE EET TEAM Learn from the most dedicated and innovative staff DR. JOYCE WAGNER Director of New ER Doctor Training Joyce received her undergraduate degree in physics from Middlebury College in Vermont and went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts. Dr. Wagner then completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at New York City Veterinary Specialists (now known as BluePearl). She has been an emergency doctor and medical director in the NYC area for over 10 years and we are thrilled to have her join our team, In her free time, Joyce loves to travel and spend time with her enthusiastic (and rarely well-behaved) dog, Stanley. JILLIAN LEFFEL Coordinator of New Doctor Training Jill received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University. She started in marketing for a financial firm but soon realized she wanted something more. When she learned about VEG and the Early Entry Track program, she jumped at the opportunity to join the VEGolution and help the EET team in creating rockstar VEG ER doctors. For Jill, an animal lover, working in veterinary medicine has been a dream. Her favorite part of the job is working closely with veterinarians, who she deeply admires for what they do. In Jill’s free time, she enjoys walking around NYC, listening to pop culture podcasts, and stopping everyone with a pitbull to ask if she can pet them. ABBY PAPAKONSTANTIS Associate Director of Education Programs Abby received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York College at Cortland and her Master’s Degree in Higher Education from Rutgers University. She has been with VEG for over 2 years and has loved every minute of it. Her favorite part of her job is making VEG the best place to work for recent graduates. She loves connecting veterinary students with life-long fulfilling careers at VEG and watching them grow throughout the EET program. In her free time, she likes to stroll around NYC with her puppy, Cannon. 13
