Final Words 1. EasyArticles looks like it would be helpful with getting more people involved in the content creation for a website with it’s frontend editor and simplified layout. 2. EasyArticles enables end-users to create a workflow by which content is created and maintained within their website. 3. EasyArticles could be a nice starter for blogs for sites that want to leverage the Joomla article structure 4. Together EasyArticles and EasyBlog would enable end-users, guest contributors and authors the ability to create, submit, edit, moderate, and publish content for the site, the blog and share with others through email and social media. 5. From a developer/designer perspective, with the correct ACL setup would help to ensure that as end-users/clients maintain content, style and design are kept. 6. Lastly, I’m still exploring all the functionality. Don’t be surprised if you see it used on the joomladaychicago.com and/or joomlachicagonorth.com websites. 25
Next Session Multi-Platform E-Commerce Wed Sep 12 at 11am E-Commerce is one of the biggest markets in web design, with online shopping overtaking the retail market over the past ten years. Joomla has been the CMS leader of E-commerce since it's inception with the biggest collection of e-commerce components available. WooCommerce is the default go-to for WordPress and Magento is set to lead the way of Cloud-based solutions since its acquisition by Adobe. One of the biggest e-commerce markets is now SAAS / Community solutions such as Shopify, Amazon, Facebook, Google Cart, etc. In June our friend, Jason Nickerson, presented the multi-platform eCommerce platform Ecwid at JUG Tampa and has graciously shared it with us. ECWID, the leading multi-platform SAAS e-commerce solution for Joomla. We will explore the benefits and features of the system and showcase the simple install in Joomla and other Content Management Systems! 26
