What is Early Entry? GET AN OFFER BEFORE YOUR FINAL EXAMS Some Universities and Tertiary Admissions Centres (TACs) have programs that allow you to apply earlier in the year. You could receive a conditional (or guaranteed) offer before you've sat your finals and well before the main December and January offer rounds (when the majority of your cohort will get their offers). NOTE: There are programs and courses e.g. Medicine or Teaching where you'll have to apply early but you won't receive an offer before the ATAR release date. These options have been excluded from our Early Entry Guide and we've focused on those where you could receive an offer before the main December offer round. Important We've researched as many details as possible and contact universities directly for the information in this guide. However, some universities haven't been able to publish or confirm application dates for 2020 yet. We'll publish an updated version of our Early Entry Guide later in 2020, and if you'd like to apply for a program in the mean time, we'd urge you to do your own research or contact the future students department of your chosen university directly. You could be eligible to apply for an early offer if you:
• Have great marks
• Are active in your community
• Have achieved in sport
• Your school will recommend you
• Are an artist, musician, or actor
• Have leadership experience
• Come from a disadvantaged background
• Are a rural applicant
Not every university offers Early Entry Programs, and they all have
different requirements and application criteria, which is why the
research team at Study Work Grow have found out everything you need
to know and put it in this simple guide.
You may need to apply soon, well before you do your final exams.
Then the uni will use a combination of factors including your results, any
awards or achievements you've received, test results, auditions,
portfolios and more to decide if they want to make you an early offer.

Your offer will probably be 'conditional', which means you'll still need to
get an ATAR and fulfil all the requirements to keep your spot
You could receive an offer before you even sit an exam, but some offers
won't come out until the ATARs are released, so check your dates
Getting an early offer can help you plan where you're going to live and
possibly work with more certainty
You don't have to take the offer. It's optional, so you can choose to treat it
as a back up if you like
Most of the Early Entry programs are FREE to apply for, and many of them
come with attached scholarship programs, so why not give it a go?
