DUTCHESS COUNTY Outdoor Ambassadors FROM MAJESTIC MOUNTAINS, LAKES AND TOWNS to pastoral farmlands and trails, the gift of nature is never far away in Dutchess County. A wealth of outdoor activities makes it perfect for nature lovers: nine formal gardens; 23 major parks; six multiple-use areas with woods, fields and ponds; and three paved rail trails. Dutchess County's foremost outdoor enthusiasts explain what they love about the area's natural wonders. As an extreme sport enthusiast, my passion for the outdoors comes with the territory.
