Hi all,

Keep your eye on the announcements calendar. Due to the Covid-19 lots of conventions have been
postponed to later dates.The result is that in a short period there are much more conventions as usual.

The WWF International President’s Youth Award was started nine years ago in recognition of young
people’s outstanding achievements, dedication, and commitment to the natural environment. Since then,
the award has recognised numerous individuals under the age of 30 from all over the world whose
passion have led them on a quest to save the planet.

A social development activist and a conservation leader have won this year’s WWF International
President’s Youth Award in recognition of their outstanding achievements, dedication, and commitment to
the natural environment. The award has been running since 2012 and is the global conservation
organization’s top accolade recognizing exceptional leadership in young conservationists from around the
world.

Begin Message

Good news. The Slymak threat is over. This is confirmed. All Slymak ships and facilities have been
destroyed. The Galaxy is safe again. This is the work of a huge Hirogen Hunting group under command
of Horkan and their artificial intelligence combine with the artificial intelligence of Deep Space 2.

It is my pleasure and honor to call on you to resume your regular duties. Please feel free to explore,
invent, improve, discover as Starfleet should. Make first contacts, explore new worlds and travel to
extraordinary phenomena.

The Super Gateway in orbit of our planet made with Iconian technology which makes travel to other
galaxies possible, will stay in operation. If you want to use it just give us a call.

Last but not least I am also able to report that we have produced and tested a new kind of transwarp
drive. These tests were very successful and we have already deployed several ships which made some
serious speed. Please note this new transwarp drive is not like the Tal-Seto FTL drive. So our new
transwarp drive does not need jump points. Which is a large improvement.

If any of you need the scematics of this new transwarp drive, please contact our Chief Engineer who will
be happy to help you with the scematics and any questions you may have.

DS2 RPG General Status Report June 2021

USS Earth/Starbase 44

Vulcan needs some help with the transport. Admiral Steichen finds this an excellent way to use a
transwarp drive to its full potential.

"We will send a ship to help the Vulcans to transport Vulcan Ambassador T'don to the vulcan monastery
on P'Jem. This makes a transwarp drive very useful."

The honor goes to the USS Dodger, Captain Albert Pujols in command. Captain Pujols doesn't lose time.

"Helm, engage the transwarp drive and get us to Vulcan."

Less than an hour later the USS Dodger arrives at vulcan. According some diplomatic protocols, a shuttle
is send to Vulcan to pick up Ambassador T'don. An honor guard accompanies Ambassador T'don to the
shuttle. At the same time Captain Pujols asks some more information about Ambassador T'don. The only
information he receives is that Ambassador T'don seems to be off in some way.

Aboard the USS Dodger Ambassador T'don is treated as an ambassador should be. The transwarp drive
is engaged and only 6 minutes later the USS Dodger arrives at P'Jem.

"Red alert!"

"Lieutenant? What happened?"

"Captain. A klingon Vor'cha class attack cruiser has decloaked in front of us. The Klingons demand that
we hand over Ambassador T'don. They say Ambassador T'don is a war criminal, but I cannot find
anything about that in our database nor in the Vulcan database. Captain, the Klingons say we have one
minute."

After a very quick talk with Ambassador T'don, the Ambassador denies all accusations. But on the bridge
tension is rising.

"The Klingons are powering up weapons Captain."

Admiral Steichen has some other issues to deal with as well.

"Our spies in Romulan space do good work, but we need more information. Let them continue with their
work."

The Federation spies are contacted in the usual way.

A report is not expected soon.

And than there is the case of the broken ship which is not broken at all. Discovered in a huge debris field
an alien ship has deliberately put in to two halves.

"Apparently the alien ship is not broken at all but the two halfs are just separated as if the ship was hit
very hard. Like the saucer section of a Galaxy class starship can be separated. It could be a tactic to
mislead the enemy. And apparently it worked as the alien ship is clearly left alone. But there is no crew
left. They must have fled when their enemy left the battle.

Have the team of the USS Greenland put the two halves back together again and start up the ship and
navigate to the home planet of this alien species."

The alien ship is assembled with a loud noise. It works. The mainpower drive of the alien ship is started
up and the FTL drive comes on line. The away team of the USS Greenland sets the autopilot on home
and the alien ship starts to move very carefully until it is out of the debris field. Then it jumps to warp. The
USS Greenland team aboard the alien ship doesn't have to do anything. Only a few days later the USS
Greenland and the alien ship approach a planet. In Orbit there are twelve similar ships battle against a
small fleet of much smaller ships. Orbital plarforms are destroying the last ships of the small fleet. The
USS Geenland is contacted.

"Attention USS Gr.ee.nla.nd, Greenland. This is Donner Central Command. I am Commander Ukin. You
have brought back one of our ships. Thank you. We could have retrieved it ourself, but we were busy as
you have seen. We are the Donners. We are in war with the Rennods for many millennia. We don't see
the end of it. They cannot destroy us and we cannot destroy them. Oh well. That is not your problem.
Thank you again."

The USS Greenland away team on the Donner ship is transported back aboard the Greenland.

Starbase 88

After a huge explosion which damaged the main power core of Starbase 88, DNA of a Vulcan family
which recently came aboard the starbase is found. The Vulcan family is brought in to be questioned.
Admiral Van Nieuwenhove has a simple order.

"Interrogate this Vulcan family including the children. Let Vulcan officers do a mind meld if necessary. If
they are innocent put them on a ship to bring them to Vulcan. They are free to go."

Of course the Vulcans protest, but they are held and a mindmeld is done by Vulcan officers. The
mindmeld doesn't take long. Starbase 88 Security Chief Commander Carlo Demaggio waits for answers.

"And? Did you get something?"

"Commander. These are not Vulcans. These are Romulan Tal Shiar agents, even the children."

"What?"

"Their mission is to sabotage or destroy Federation ships and facilities. Their is no doubt Commander.
The Romulans have sent out these agents, looking like fugitives. But that is only a cover story."

"Put them in seperate cells in the brig."

"Aye Commander."

The entire Vulcan family turns out to be a group of Romulan Tal Shiar spies. But they are now placed
under arrest in cellblock number 9 in seperate cells. A few minutes later Commander Carlo Demaggio
reports to Admiral Van Nieuwenhove

"Admiral, this is Chief of Security Commander Carlo Demaggio. This Vulcan family turned out to be a
group of Romulan Tal Shiar spies. Starfleet Security has dispatched a ship to get these Romulan Tal Shiar
spies. Starfleet Security will be here in less than a day and we will hold these Tal Shiar spies in a holding
cell until they are transfered to Starfleet Security. If you have any advice for Starfleet Security you can
inform them of course."

USS Thunderbolt/The Borg Collective

Spoiler alert!

Attention! This part of the DS2 RPG contains spoilers for those who have not seen Star Trek Picard!

Most of the Federation is not yet aware that the Borg are back and spying on the Federation from very
close.

But the Borg also have other things on their collective mind.

"Let Xthen, the Replicator go free and thank him! ?? It is true. The Replicators have cleaned Borg space
of Slymak. The Borg do not have any trouble anymore with the Slymak. But they are machines so there
must be a way on how to disrupt them. Sent discretely some covertly assimilated earthlings tot he
Hirogen. How are they able to use and control the replicators."

Xthen leaves in peace. An unknown ship transports Xthen aboard and disappears immediately.

An hour later Xthen contacts the Borg Collective.

"Hello there all of you. You have shown me a gesture of peace and friendship. Therefore I want to invite
you to come to the planet called Shierra 4. I will explain to you how we as an Artificial Intelligence work.
Maybe we can work together. Maybe we can help eachother in the future. I hope you accept my
invitation."

It is of course up to the Borg Collective to think about this invitation.

Part of the Borg has other goals.

"Now that the Slymak are gone, we will start populating the planets on which the Slymak have destroyed
all Borg. It is time to relocate, colonize and assimilate."

It is what the Borg do. Just another day in the office. But there are still some things that could have
consequences.

"We will keep using Tal Shiar spies. They have had some success already. A large part of the main
generator of Starbase 88 has blown up. The starbase has survived, but is heavily damaged."

The Borg wanted to offer help, but the Tal Shiar spies have already been caught by Starbase 88 security
troops. The plan of sending out Tal Shiar spies to sabotage Federation ships and facilities and then offer
help and then get closer to the Federation could indeed work. But then this plan has to be executed fast.

There are other posibilities like assimilating, hiring, even bribing.

USS Walang/Starbase 100

Admiral Hendriks has traveled in time with the Kirie, Trsterts and Yu to stop the Slymak before they arrive
here in this galaxy. If they can stop the Slymak threat before it begins, the galaxy could be saved...

USS Vertigo/Gdonsk

Day 326 10.34
The USS Vertigo and the Gdonsk arrive at GH-2365. there is no sign of satellites, space ships or any
activity in space.

Day 327 06.00
Senior staff meeting aboard the USS Vertigo, including Commander Matz who is still in command of the
Gdonsk. Scans of GH-2365 reveal only primitive life forms. The Gdonsk is certainly not built on GH-2365.

Day 327 06.05
Commodore Jeffrey Slater decides to stay at GH-2365 for at leastn a month and upgrade the ship with a
transwarp drive. The scematics of this transwarp drive has been sent by Deep Space 2. But that is not all.
The Gdonsk is compatible with the new transwarp drive as well. Installation begins.

USS Atlantis/Starbase 99
