S1 to S4 Rugby S1 to S4 Rugby players are required to meet at front of school at 2.55pm on Thursday (2nd Nov), to get team bus to Forfar for away game vs. Strathmore Schools. The bus will leave at 3pm. Please ensure you bring all your kit (including boots and gum shield) along with any snacks and drinks required. Birnam Can all Birnam pupils that are involved in the Poppy Appeal Assembly meet in room 1401 at lunch time today (Tuesday). House Officials. Citywide Pupil Council School Lunches Survey – Extension to closing date: The closing date for the Citywide Pupil Council (CWPC) school lunch online survey has been extended to Wednesday November 15th 2017. You do not need to eat school lunches to take part in this survey as any subsequent questions are based on your previous responses. This is a great opportunity to have your say with respect to school lunch facilities since the citywide results will be passed on to Tayside Contracts as part of their regular review of facilities. To date more Harris Academy pupils than any other school have taken part in the survey. Currently most of the replies come from S3-6. New York Trip 2019 Could all those who expressed an interest in the NYC trip please attend a short meeting at lunchtime on Wednesday 1st November in room 2308 at 1.30pm. If you haven’t returned a slip and are still interested, please come along too. Ski Trip Payments The full balance of the trip must be paid by today (Tuesday 31 st October). Please see Mr Walker in the Guidance Base or PE Department asap with money and payment cards. If anyone is intending on pulling out of the trip because of the extra payment required, please let Mr Walker or Mrs Leppard know by today at the very latest or you will lose your deposit! Please also remember to hand in the reply slips about the information evening to Mrs Leppard in the Geography Department as soon as possible. Thank-you. Please also remember that the full cost of the trip must be paid by next Tuesday, 31st October. Bring your money and payment cards to Mr Walker asap. If anyone does intend on pulling out of the trip due to the additional £30 payment that is now required, you must return the reply slip to Mrs Leppard before Tuesday, so that we can let Interski know. If you do not inform us by Tuesday, then you will lose your deposit. Missing Geography Textbooks We seem to have a number of National 4/5 Geography textbooks missing, particularly the “Global Issues” book. Could pupils from our N4/5 classes last year please check at home and bring in any textbooks you may have borrowed and forgotten to return. Thank-you. Miss Mitchell Shoe box Appeal 2017 This is the 51st anniversary of the above appeal and we at Harris would like play our part to make this year extra special. We need your help as we only two weeks when we come back from the October Holidays. We would like all registration classes to watch a short presentation on the impact of the boxes on others www.blythswood.org - its titled make someone happy this Christmas – (its 3 minutes long) Then can we ask that each registration class fills one shoe box with the items required below. Your class can choose who the box is for.
The interact group will collect your completed boxes by Friday the 3rd November 2017. Please can you attach £1 coin to your box to help with the transport costs.
