RHEUMATOLOGY 2020 I N F L A M M AT O RY A R T H R I T I S Pr o g r am Ove rv i ew & Target Aud ien ce Penn Medicine Cutting Edge Rheumatology 2020: Inflammatory Arthritis is a half-day course featuring internationally recognized experts who will provide lectures on the state-of-the-art for evaluating and treating inflammatory arthritis, specifically rheumatoid arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis, and psoriatic arthritis (including psoriasis). Speakers will discuss advances in outcome measurement and management, providing knowledge that can be incorporated into clinical practice. The latest research advances and novel therapies will be highlighted. The panel discussions will address important clinical conundrums and weigh the risks and benefits of management choices. Penn Medicine Cutting Edge Rheumatology 2020: Inflammatory Arthritis is designed to meet the educational needs of rheumatologists and other physicians specializing in, or with an interest in, the evaluation and management of various forms of inflammatory arthritis. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this educational activity, the participant should be better able to: ■ Review current pharmacotherapies and treatment algorithms for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis ■ Appropriately use laboratory and non-invasive imaging modalities for diagnosis and management of inflammatory arthritis ■ Discuss challenging treatment scenarios in inflammatory arthritis ■ Discuss the diagnosis and treatment of non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis ■ Review the current state of research into new therapies for inflammatory arthritis and how such work applies to the routine care of patients with inflammatory arthritis Hosting Department Penn Medicine Cutting Edge Rheumatology 2020: Inflammatory Arthritis is hosted by the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Pennsylvania. Saturday, April 4, 2020 Law Auditorium Jordan Medical Education Center 3400 Civic Center Boulevard Philadelphia, PA 19104 Accreditation In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Designation of Credit Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Maintenance of Certification (MOC): Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 4.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points. Certificates and Transcripts: After the conference has concluded, all participants will receive a follow-up email with instructions and a link. Once participants submit the request for credit, the earned credits will be available for viewing on a transcript and certificates will be available for printing at https://upenn.cloud-cme.com. Please note that the individual certificate will not be mailed. Registration Fees The registration fees for Penn Medicine Cutting Edge Rheumatology 2020: Inflammatory Arthritis are the following: $85 for physicians, $60 for nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals, $25 for residents and fellows, and $200 for industry representatives. Penn Medicine employees, faculty and staff: The registration fee is $25. To register at the reduced rate, you must sign in with your Pennkey and password at https://upenn.cloud-cme.com register online. Penn Medicine Department of Medicine employees, faculty, staff, residents and fellows may register to attend at no charge. Non-Penn Medicine Residents and Fellows: Registration is complimentary with a letter from your program director confirming your training status. This letter must be emailed to penncme@pennmedicine.upenn.edu. Your complimentary registration code will be emailed upon receipt.
The registration fee includes attendance to the conference, a course booklet, a link to view the presentations online, continental breakfast and a mid-morning break. If you are registering with a credit card, please register online at https://upenn.cloud-cme.com/IA2020. We cannot accept faxed or mailed registration forms with credit card information. To pay by check, complete the registration form and mail it in with your check. Please see the registration form for mailing information. Please note: Mailed registrations can take up to 5-10 business days before they are received. All registrations will be confirmed by email as long as your registration is received no later than April 2, 2020. Cancellation and Refund Policy In order to process refunds for course withdrawals, cancellations must be received in writing by March 23, 2020 (subject to a service charge of $15.00). No refunds will be issued thereafter. The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines, and travel agencies. Conference Location Penn Medicine Cutting Edge Rheumatology 2020: Inflammatory Arthritis will be held Saturday, April 4, 2020 in the Law Auditorium at the Jordan Medical Education Center (located on the 5th floor of the Smilow Translational Research Center (TRC) and Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine), 3400 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19104. Directions: We strongly recommend you use GPS or an online driving directions site (such as googlemaps.com) for directions to and from your starting point. If you prefer to take public transportation to and from campus, please visit http://www.upenn.edu/services/transportation for options. The University City station is the stop closest to the Jordan Medical Education Center. Parking on Saturday, April 4: The Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine garage (3400 Civic Center Boulevard) is open to those attending this conference. Parking is about $20 per day. Parking fees are the responsibility of the attendee.
