Alumni Profiles Mr. Shivam Singla ACA, CA(Z) “It's not about how big your challenge is but what your attitude towards it is!” Mr. Shivam Singla is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe and Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He started his audit career at Deloitte Zimbabwe as an articled trainee right after completing high school, after graduating from UNISA, joined the CTA programme at CAA to pursue CTA full time. After qualifying as CA(Z), he transferred to Deloitte UK to join the Assurance practice while specialising in the public sector. Shivam has recently joined EY, Canada in Assurance as an Audit Senior. Ms. Vennah Sharon Matorwa “If other people can do it, so can you!” Ms. Vennah Sharon Matorwa, BCom, CA(Z) serves as an internal audit senior at OMA Chartered Accountants in Pretoria South Africa. Miss Matorwa holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. She graduated her ZCTA in 2014 through Chartered Accountants Academy. Vennah served her articles with BDO Zimbabwe. In her journey to becoming a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Accountants Academy provided a support system, providing a safe and encouraging environment that enabled her to pass. Her word of advice to prospective ZCTA students is to ‘always do your best, even when it gets tough.’ Mr. Kith Elliot CA(Z) “Be faithful and true to your God, he will always lift you up!” Mr. Kith Elliot, BBA, CA(Z) serves as the Assistant Manager for Audit and Financial Services at KPMG LLP.UK in London. Mr Elliot holds a Bachelor of Business Administration: Majoring in Accounting from Solusi University in Zimbabwe. He graduated his ZCTA through Chartered Accountants Academy in 2013. Mr Elliot trained his articles with AMG Global Chartered Accountants and was registered as a CA(Z) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe in 2016. Mr Elliot also served as an audit senior associate at KPMG UK from 2016 to 2017. Today, Mr Elliot coaches and mentors junior team members at KPMG UK. Application Process How do you apply? What do you need before you apply? Apply online through our website www.caa.ac.zw. Soft copies of all the necessary documents i.e. 1. Certified copy of your Birth Certificate When do applications open 2. Certified copy of your National for 2019 academic year ID / valid Passport 3. Certified copy of your Degree Application period opens on 1st of August 2018 Certificate or any other tertiary qualification and runs until 30th of November 2018. 4. Certified copy of your tertiary Late applications will be considered from 1st of Academic transcript December 2018 to 31st of December 2018. 5. Passport size photo 6. An updated copy of your NB* Applications submitted without payment Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the application fee will not be processed 7.
