Continuing Education Credit Information Program Description and Learning Objectives Accreditation Information, Types of Credit, Claiming Credit Scientific Program Disclosures April 5th - 8th, 2022 Program Description and Learning Objectives Target Audience The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of healthcare professionals (physicians, surgeons, pharmacists, nurses, and others) and researchers working in the field of transplantation. Educational Objectives The following overarching objectives and more specific goals have been identified for this meeting. Having participated in this meeting, attendees will be able to: • Review how key stakeholders in transplantation define success. • Identify innovations in transplant medicine during and since the pandemic that have worked and use this knowledge to strategize future interventions. • Discuss advances in mitigating infections and antibody mediated Injury – The Yin and the Yang of transplant medicine. Statement of Need/Program Overview CEoT 2022 will be an exciting exploration of primary stakeholders in organ transplantation coming together to define ideal metrics to drive equity and quality in transplant access and outcomes and discuss the key challenges that the transplant field must overcome to develop and implement these quality metrics in clinical practice. The stage will be set by looking at current definitions of success from all key stakeholders - federal, insurers, patients, care providers and understanding the implications of having different stakeholders whose perspectives on success do not always align. The program will then delve into potential alternatives definitions of success at the societal and systems levels as well as for patients and caregivers. Tying in the themes from the ASHI meeting that CEOT 2022 immediately follows, each organ and the infectious disease group with specialized tracks will delve into the Yin and Yang of infection and rejection on the spectrum of immunosuppression. The overarching goal is to systematically examine and refine definitions of success for all stakeholders in transplantation to inform and reframe future conversations in organ transplantation.

How to Claim Credit Following the meeting, all participants will receive a link to an online evaluation form. After completing this evaluation, participants may claim a certificate noting the appropriate amount of credit or request a general certificate of attendance. For pharmacist learners, partial credit may not be awarded, so sessions must be attended in their entirety to claim credit. ABIM MOC Recognition Statement Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 18 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
