To serve ourselves a classical text is like being pushed
to peek into our soul when it is asleep. Using a classical
text is an exercise of mystery and a search for what
escapes and snatches us. It is a practice of suppu-
ration and transformation over what we do not know.
In the text Bacchae from Euripides we feel that many
questions and possibilities for answer are aroused,
that an appropriation of the text in a traditional way
made us feel like we would be diving into a inconsolable
limitation.
Ciclo Novas Bacantes
The course of the company, the search for a difference,
a singularity, accompanies each new creation.
Rapt by Bacchae we searched for a model of approach-
ment with several secondary paths that would contain
the ancient times and the modern day. That would
contain the questions of the body and of the uncon-
sciousness. That would contain the body as a poetic
object and it’s animalistic components. That would
approach the body of the artist and the body of the
viewer by impulsing a confrontation that overcomes the
ecstasy of the reading, of the silent eye, of the obstacle
of a unique time. So, we have ended up building a
show that contains in it self four solo experiences.
Four visions over Bachae, that deeply are four artistic
objects presented solo, with an actress, an actor, a
per former and a dancer.
Like a puzzle the viewer can build their own perspective
from any one of the solos about Bacchae. Ciclo NOVAS
BACANTES (NEW BACCHAE Cycle) is the name that
unites all parts, the four visions around Euripides work.

Raptured by Bachae we also ended up raptured by the feminine and it’s
manifestations of death and rebirth.
For Lara Guidetti, João Garcia Miguel created a solo about the death and
the rebirth of the Goddess that lives in each being. An approach to the
Bacchae from the point of view of one who dances.
The Goddess that can inspire, liberate and awake, in men and women, that
moves and manifests it self between four landscapes: Women, water, bird
and sky. Lara Guidetti dances the metamorphose of the present Goddess,
the body of a dancer that allows us access to the symbol, the transfor-
mative depth. We approach the indecipherable present in the text through From the original text The Bacchae of Euripides

Freedom and Theatre are two axes which guide the building of our
activities, training and dissemination. These two concepts move us by
an importance, that interacting produces the society in which we live
in, contributing to the growth and improvement of individuals in search
of a draft humanity shared by investing in creativity as the basis of the
difference and the capacity for change of the worlds in which we live. We
believe that the daily exercise and achievement of individual freedom is
concomitant with the increasing freedom of those around us. Such is the
duality that delimits and defines the quality and ambition that we are and
what we want: that others can be increasingly free.
