The following changes and clarifications are to be made and become part of the Bid/Contract Documents. The changes and clarifications are as follows:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: a. Construction of a concrete commercial boat ramp and retaining walls in the north section of Community Park, 1251 Hwy 95 in Bullhead City, Arizona. The pipe for this project has been purchased and is stored at the Section 18 Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is the contractor’s responsibility to haul the pipe to the construction site. Project is 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed date. The ramp must be completed by December 28, 2021 to satisfy the requirements of the Army Corp permit. Completion of the project must occur by March 4, 2022.

Bids must still be turned in at City Hall, 2355 Trane before the Bid Due Time to be stamped in. All bids will then be brought to the Council Chambers for opening and results will be read aloud. The contract will go to Council for approval on September 7, 2021. 8. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS: a. All attendees had bids and specs. Questions and clarifications are below. 9. PERMITS: a. Army Corp of Engineers b. City Right-of-Way c. Both permits are at no cost to the contractor. The City has obtained the Army Corp permit. 10. TECHNICAL QUESTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS: Q: What is the low water level of the river? A: Lowest is usually 1 unit. City will get elevations. Q: Is a SWPPP needed? A: Yes. Q: Is the pre-purchased pipe banded? A: No, pipe is not banded. It is bell and spigot pipe. Q: Rip-rap is called out by pound (Line Item #18)? Usually an average size is called out, not weight. A: D50 rip-rap approximately 6- to 12-inch, as noted on Sheet 4 of the plans and Bid Item #19 in Article 3 Bid Schedule. Q: Item 9 calls for tack coat. Is this correct? A: Item 9 is corrected to be Fog Seal. Q: On Sheet 2 of the plans in Special Notes, first paragraph, it states that the contractor must remove equipment each day? A: Sheet 2 of the plans shall be replaced in its entirety. Q: Clarify Sheet 13 Steel Fence specifications. A: See #18 of this Addendum #1 for clarification, and Bid Item #24B has been added to Article 3 Bid Schedule.

Q: Are Payrolls to be submitted on this project? A: No. This is not a federally funded project. 11. ADJOURNMENT: 9:17 AM. Meeting at Community Park at 9:30 AM. 12. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS FROM SITE VISIT: CLARIFICATION: MEC will relocate the electric pole that is now located in the north part of the park by the proposed ramp. This services power to the restrooms and irrigation clocks in the fenced area just to the south. CLARIFICATION: The City has a 4” main 4 feet deep and a 2” main 4 feet deep. It stops behind the power pole. There are varying sizes and types of pipe buried in that area of the park. CLARIFICATION: The lift station was demolished and backfilled 18” – 2’ below grade will be slurry backfill (where the lift station walls are). CLARIFICATION: The stockpile in the park can be used as fill, as long as it meets gradation specifications. CLARIFICATION: The contractor must adhere to City codes regarding working hours: CLARIFICATION: The gate is not part of this project, but installing the electrical conduits is part of this project. CLARIFICATION: Low Water Elevation for the project site is 499.16’. Q: Is the manhole going to have to be adjusted farther than the ring? A: See #15 of this Addendum #1 for clarification. Q: How much of the manhole will be moved? A: Approximately 2’ to 3’. Q: Does the HDPE pipe come with the connectors? A: No. Pipe is not banded and as bell and spigot pipe. All further questions must be submitted by August 10, 2021, and will become part of the final addendum. Email questions to Susan at scarroll@bullheadcityaz.gov.

Refer to Article 12.09 3” Asphalt Concrete Pavement. 15. Article 12.18 Adjust Sewer Manhole is to be replaced in its entirety: 12.18 Grout Repair and Adjust Manholes Part 1 - General 1.1 – Description of Work This work consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and equipment necessary to grout repair and adjust all sewer manhole, frame cover, and appurtenances as indicated on the plans or designated by the Engineer. The sewer manholes shall be set to finish grade and a concrete collar shall be installed around each in accordance with MAG Specifications and Standards, and the requirements of the applicable utility company. Each manhole shall be re-grouted from inside after lowering them. The Contractor may elect to remove old frames, covers and barrels and to install new frames and/or barrels without any additional cost to the City, in accordance with standard detail drawings. Part 2 – Execution 2.1 - Per MAG Standard Specification, Section 345 "Adjusting Frames, Covers, Valve Boxes and Water Meter Boxes” is included in its entirety unless modified herein. Part 3 – Measurement and Payment 3.1 - Method of Measurement: Measurement for adjustment of the sewer manhole will be per unit basis. 3.2 – Basis of Payment: Payment for adjustment of the manholes will be made at the contract unit bid price. 16. Article 12.24 Block Wall is to be replaced in its entirety: 12.24 6 ‘Block Wall Part 1 - General 1.1 - Description of Work The work shall consist of construction of 6-foot Block Walls as shown on the project plans. The reinforced steel shall be grade 40. All work shall include labor, material, and equipment provided by the contractor.

Article 12.25 Block Retaining Wall is to be replaced in its entirety: 12.25A Retaining Wall with 6-foot Block Wall Part 1 - General 1.1 - Description of Work The work shall consist of construction of Retaining Wall with 6-foot block walls as shown on the project plans.
