Simply because digitization eliminates manual procedures at security offices and replaces them with efficient and fast processes using technology. Your appointed contractors can register and apply for community entry permits online at ecmpermits.ae, where they will find a useful video guide available in English, Arabic, Hindi and Bangla. Three types of permits are available to contractors, depending on the type and duration of the work: • Short-term permits • Long-term permits • Access permits for home modification works Note: From 01 July 2021, only contractors with a digital permit will be allowed entry into the community.

In the true spirit of giving back, the holy month was marked by honouring the tireless efforts of our service providers. Over 180,000 Iftar meal packets were distributed to the community’s service providers including, lifeguards, housekeeping staff, security guards and gardeners. The meal distribution was carried out across 12 main community locations and service provider campsites, while ensuring safety measures were always adhered to. A time for giving, it truly was!

We had a chat with Zeeshan, from Pakistan, who’s been your community’s electrician for two years. What’s his typical day like? I am always occupied with work and I like it that way, but prayers are as important to me as my work and I make sure to pray five times a day. After work, I like to keep in touch with my family over the phone or chat with my roommates and colleagues. On his family back home: We are five in my family – my parents, wife, daughter and myself. We are a close-knit family and I miss them every day. I’m counting the days when I will see them again. Any memorable moments on the job? Events hosted here are quite memorable. But for me it has to be when I’m appreciated by my superiors for my good work. What is your ambition or dream? I’m working towards becoming an electrical engineer and also a team leader to guide my team towards success. How has the year been so far? This year is better than the last and I feel very blessed to be able to work which supports my family back home. The biggest problem for me was that, due to travel restrictions, I haven’t been able to see my children for some time.
