Impact of the Health Crisis Cancellation of IRL events such as the Science Fair o Have to imagine new online formats Lockdown and remote work o Difficult to discuss, exchange, and find information in labs o Waste of time o Difficult to reconnect with the US communication team => Adapt the communication plan => Recruitment of a short term contract (Marion Aulas from October 19, 2020 for 3 months)
Former priorities Identify communities and working group activities to highlight o Collect images and interviews directly in the labs o What scope, milestones, highlights? Þ Diffusion: twitter, IN2P3 newsletter, collaboration with IN2P3 labs communication officers Þ Internal communication within the French collaboration Þ Leverage and feed the website Update the Website o Update contents o Increase the frequency of the news feed o Improve user experience and valorization of the French contribution Impact of the renaming of the project Long term Outreach projects • Develop a real outreach policy in France using LSST data • Promote the specifics of LSST research in France to a broader audience

What’s our name already? Example (source: press release on the focal plane) Pour la première fois, des images d’une résolution de 3,2 milliards de pixels viennent d’être prises grâce à un plan focal géant équipé de 189 capteurs photographiques CCD, maintenant assemblés au SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Ce plan focal sera au cœur de la caméra de l’Observatoire Vera C. Rubin, la plus grande au monde, qui servira à effectuer un relevé unique du ciel.
