The Sea Highway managed by LD Lines is a new transport channel, that has
boosted commodities exchange, has reduced heavy road traffic, and has
opened a new flow of tourists between Portugal, north Spain, and la France
atlantique (it also opened the possibilities to Paris, Belgium and The
Netherlands).

The Europe 2020 strategy is about delivering GROWTH that is:
• SMART, through more effective investments in education,
research and innovation.
• SUSTAINABLE, thanks to a decisive move towards a low-
carbon economy.
• INCLUSIVE, with a strong emphasis on job creation and
poverty reduction.
The strategy is focused on five ambitious goals in the areas of
employment, innovation, education, poverty reduction and

2011 - Sustainable growth in coastal regions and drive forward the
"blue economy", which has the potential to provide 7 million jobs in
Europe by 2020. At the same time, the environmental and ecological
stability of the Atlantic Ocean must be preserved.
