CITY MANAGER’S UPDATE AUGUST 30, 2019 Council Approves 1st Reading of FY 2020 Budget At their August 27 meeting, the League City Council unanimously approved the first reading of a budget for Fiscal Year 2020 that keeps the City at the effective tax rate. For League City homeowners, this means property taxes per $100 of evaluation will be $0.548581, which is lower than the FY 2019 adopted rate of $0.5638. A second reading of the budget is scheduled for the Council’s September 10 meeting and the tax rate will be officially adopted October 8. Grand Parkway segments B and C will connect I-45 in League City to IH-69 in Fort Bend County.
