GLA-DA-WEN-TA CAMP Day camp for children ages 5–12 Your child will have a blast with 11 themed weeks of camp and exciting field trips! Each day, we will enjoy physical activity, crafts, and opportunities to make new friends. We will be outside as often as possible to enjoy the summer weather! There will also be swimming in the pool and a waterslide whenever we get the chance. Before and after care are also available. Pick the weeks you want! Aloha Summer 1, 2, 3, 4, We Want Color War! Week #1 June 8–12 Week #5 July 6–10 Greet the summer with some island fun! Relive some of our favorites as we repeat the highlights of water balloon wars, giant jenga, spray bottle art, minute to win it games, water slide fun, and more! Challenge: Responsibility Field Trip: Warren Dunes State Park (Sawyer, MI) WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE? We are incorporating our Y-Ties program into Gla-Da-Wen-Ta Day Camp! Y-Ties focuses on the characteristics of Respect, Responsibility, Caring, and Honesty. Each week will focus on one of those characteristics as a “challenge” supported by activities for campers and examples set by our counselors and staff.
YOUNG ADVENTURE CAMP Day camp for children ages 2½–5 Camp runs Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM daily. Every Tuesday and Thursday, we go swimming in the pool! Royals & Superheroes June 8–11 Grab your favorite prince or princess outfit and your Member: $85 • Non-Member: $110 superhero costume and join us for a week of adventure. Cost is per week. Mermaids & Pirates July 20–23 Dive deep into a week of fun and learning as we swim with mermaids and sail the seas with friendly pirates! We will explore why boats float and find out which marine animals can hold their breath for up to 15 minutes!
SUMMER REC Day camp for children ages 5–12 The Y partners with the City of St. Joseph to provide another day camp opportunity! Summer Rec takes place at the John and Dede Howard Ice Arena in St. Joseph and is staffed by the YMCA. Camp runs Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM daily and includes physical activity, crafts, outdoor water fun, and more! Please note there is a $15 fee to attend field trips. Y-CLUB CHILD CARE Register now for the 2020-2021 school year! ST. JOSEPH & LAKESHORE PUBLIC SCHOOLS Before care and after care are held at the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph YMCA for students from Brown, E.P. Clarke, Lincoln, and Upton. St. Joseph Public Schools will bus children to and from Y-Club. (Busing is currently not available for Upton students.) Before care and after care are held at Roosevelt Elementary for students from Roosevelt, Hollywood, and Stewart. Lakeshore Public Schools will bus children to and from Y-Club. PER DAY (PRE-REGISTER) $40 HALF DAY (PRE-REGISTER) $25 DAY-OF REGISTRATION $50 EMERGENCY CLOSINGS For unexpected days off, such as snow days, you can have peace of mind knowing your child has Y-Club. This service will be provided if St. Joseph or Lakeshore School Districts are closed subject to State of Emergency. Care will be provided at the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph YMCA from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and includes time in the gym and pool! Please bring your swim and gym gear and lunch. A $20 charge will be incurred if you are enrolled but do not attend. Billing will be drafted after day of emergency closing. PER DAY (PRE-REGISTER) $40 DAY-OF REGISTRATION $50 PICKUP PROCEDURES Students must be signed out by a YMCA staff member who will verify that the adult is authorized to pick up the student. Afterschool programs conclude at 6:00 PM each day. Students must be picked up no later than 6:00 PM. Parents can arrange for their child to be picked up earlier if necessary.
