December Sandhill Cove 2019 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH Paulette Leighton Receptionist Paulette Leighton has been se- lected as the Employee of the Month for December, 2019. Paulette joined Sandhill Cove in February 2016 as a receptionist. She has been married for 15 years and has 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. She is from Pennsylvania and lived 14 years overseas in the fol- lowing countries: Tunisia, Tokyo, Venezuela and Cyprus. She received her black belt in Judo when she lived in Tokyo. She also climbed Mount Fuji in 1977 She received a Scholarship from Sandhill Cove and com- pleted her AA degree in Liberal Arts. Paulette is now pur- suing her bachelor degree of Arts. Hobbies include dancing, bicycling and gardening. Paulette enjoys listening to the residents’ rich life experiences. Her supervisor has this to say: “Paulette strives to be aware of what is going on around her and therefore pro- tects the residents and Sandhill Cove overall. She is a great asset at the desk.” Please join us in congratulating Paulette on being selected as the Employee of the Month for December. He paid $6500.00 for it and named it Hurricane. Soon Joe was desiring to get a larger boat so he sold the Hurricane 6 months later. In the Spring of 1965. he purchased a former 63-foot WWII Air-Sea rescue boat that had been converted to a party fishing boat in 1949. It was al- ready named the Sea Ranger. Joe kept the name and kept it in Belmar, NJ. He sold it in the spring of 1970 and a few months
