Course Curriculum 16th - 20th Nov ember 2015 Module 2 Surgical Implantology • Mechanics of osteotomy preparation • Choosing appropriate drilling systems • Know your handpiece basics • Knowledge of asepsis v/s sterility • Preparation of the patient • Implant handling and transverse • Surgical manipulation of available bone • Working with stents and establishing prosthetic predictability • Pre, intra and post operative medications • Post operative care 23rd - 27th March 2016 Module 3 Implant Prosthodoncs Interim Restorative phase • Immediate v/s delayed loading of cases • Submerged v/s one stage surgeries • Interim Prosthesis • Transitional Implants • Stage II surgical protocol Definitive Restorative Phase • Fabrication of provisional prosthesis and providing template for the final Organizing Team restoration. • Impression techniques and procedures • Effective ways of registering inter occlusal records • Mounting the cases and creating appropriate occlusal schemes • Educating the lab about the case and writing appropriate prescription • Trial of metal frames and obtaining passivity • Working with matrices and templates from provisionals • Presenting implant therapy to patients • Presenting implant cases to peers • Establishing fees for implant cases • Managing complications and emergencies in Implant Dentistry

Hands On • Utilization and familiarity of a minimum of 4 recognized implant systems • Suturing techniques • Capsule clinics with face-bow transfers, jaw relation records • Semi-adjustable articulators, designing overdentures, • cement and screw retained restorations • Provisional fabrication and impression techniques Clinical Sessions • Review of most of the validated implant systems popular around the world • Established scientific and clinical criteria for selecting implant systems that would be patient centric and not implant driven • Multi-modal approach that provides you all of the tools and techniques to be able to manipulate bone and efficiently sequence your cases. • Assess benefits and risks of the various implant systems available in the market. • Perform a variety of clinical procedures from single tooth implant to complete arch fixed restorations. • Include comprehensive treatment planning sessions to do full-mouth rehabilitation. • Include interactive sessions with experts in the field under AAID faculty supervision. • No pressure to purchase any system.
