CBC BIG BIRD DAY CASUAL BIRDING CHECKLIST

                                    8th JANUARY 2022

                                    Completion Notes

The aim of this form is to capture species seen, together with the location and numbers
seen.
The locations that should be used are the coloured areas shown on the Cley Square
Recording Sites map.
The form contains 5 columns for counts from up to 5 locations, please write the site name at
the top of the form where it says Site 1 etc. Then for each species seen at that site put the
number seen or heard in the count column for that site.
You can put any notes in the Notes column or on a separate piece of paper. For instance,
you may want to note that the species was seen in your garden within the Cley Village site.
If you visit more than 5 locations use a second form.
Heard only birds can be counted but please indicate this by putting an 'H' alongside the
number in the count column.
If you see any species that are not on the list, please add these in the spare rows at the end
or, if you fill these, another sheet of paper.
Only full species are included on the list but if you do see/identify any sub-species (e.g. Black
Brant) then please note them in the spare rows at the end of the list.
If you see any mammals, please also note them in the spare rows at the end of the list.
If you find a rare bird please put the news out so that everyone participating in the day
can enjoy it, either on the information services or ring it into the NWT Visitor Centre on
01263 740008.
Please ensure you put your name(s) and a contact email or phone number is on each page.

ALL CHECKLISTS TO BE BROUGHT TO THE CLEY VISITOR CENTRE BY
                5pm on SATURDAY 8th JANUARY.
