St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church Second Sunday of Lent March 17, 2019 Catholic Services Appeal 2019
Page 2 St. Clement Church, Romeo Catholic Services Appeal 2019 The theme for this year’s Catholic Services Appeal is “United in Service”. Once again, this presents a wonderful opportunity for us to share our faith in solidarity with other parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit. As Catholic Christians, we understand that being disciples isn’t just about attending Mass or being good stewards... each breath of our faith, whether we’re striving to love God or love our neighbor, involves a very real, grace-filled encounter with the person of Jesus. Helping more people to experience Christ is one of the goals of CSA. Through programs and services, the CSA helps cast a wider net of God’s love over our Catholic community. You will receive information about the Catholic Services Appeal in the mail this week. Please pray about how you can help further the ministries funded by our CSA, and consider making the most generous gift possible given your other financial obligations. If you do not receive the CSA mailing this week, or have any questions about the CSA, please call the parish office, 586-752-9611. Matthew 6: 1-4 - Jesus said to his disciples: "Take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your heavenly Father. When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, so that your almsgiving may be secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.” Religious Education Stations of the Cross Calling All Schedule St. Clement will have the Gardeners Stations of the Cross during Lent Spring is coming and March 17 – Preschool classes held on the following days: the St. Clement March 18, 19, 20 – Classes held Friday, March 29 - 7:00 p.m. Gardening Club is looking for March 21 – Sacrament of Friday, April 5 - 7:00 p.m. volunteers to help with the Reconciliation Friday, April 12 - 7:00 p.m. church’s gardens this upcoming March 22 – Confirmation Practice season.
