Dear, Rev. Brothers, Benefactors, Sisters & Friends… Greetings from Operation Rainbow - Care and Support with Hope and Vision. We are in the consequences of the deadly disease of Corona virus (COVID-19) which swept in through our countries causing a panic among people and killing thousands of people in a short period of time. The result is extraordinary lockdown in most of our countries. Everything has come to an end with hope for the future. This current situation cannot stop us from hoping and visioning for a new life, new sunshine and a new rainbow! Thanks to all those who put their own lives at risk in fighting against the spread of Corona virus and trying to save the life of everyone affected by it. While we continue to live and cope with the loss and pains caused by COVID-19, I would like to present this annual activity report of Operation Rainbow for the year 2019-2020. It brings you the highlights of various activities carried out monthly and on regular basis. The academic achievements of our children and their ability to find a job with good salary are really a credit to Operation Rainbow. I gratefully acknowledge the contributions of so many people working tirelessly behind the scene: The Australian Marist Solidarity which funds the overall project costs, the Sacred Heart College, Adelaide, St. Patrick’s Catholic College, Dundas, and other Marist colleges in Australia. The India Village Project, Scotland and FMSI, Rome deserve a special mention for their valuable support in different areas whenever we approach them. The creativity and thrill brought by the students placed for an internship at the Rainbow Project and the resource persons during monthly gatherings motivate the children to approach life with hope and optimism. Finally, I thank Marcellin Club members and the Rainbow staff and all the Marists whose hard work and dedication deserves a round of applause! Let us continue to pray for one another to overcome all challenges with hope!! Fraternally, Rev. Bro. Saul Placious, FMS Rainbow Director

Rainbow - Evaluation Report Rainbow Clients, Social Workers, Students (MSW) & Young People Consolidated Report Rainbow is not just a place that shelters us but a family that welcomes us and supports us when we are in difficult moments in our life – sad, worried, hopeless, disappointed, etc., Rainbow is our Mother House where we find our strength, comfort and consolation. Rainbow has provided many opportunities to empower ourselves. Over the time Rainbow has built the trust with its beneficiaries and maintains the confidentiality of our identity and personal Stories. Our experiences at monthly support group meetings are: joy, hope, peace of mind, encouragement and so on. We feel as one family. What a child feels in the womb of its mother I feel the same joy, safety and comfort with Rainbow The staff and the Brothers working at the Rainbow project are kind, friendly and supportive to us in our journey It is because of Rainbow that I am now employed in a private company with good salary. I feel happy. Though our livelihood income is very minimum we are able to manage and run the family with the monthly rations provided by the Rainbow project We are satisfied with the nutrition and medical supplements provided to us monthly. It shows how Rainbow is concerned about our health and family. The family visits on regular basis ensures that we are not alone in our struggle for life and we don’t feel abandoned or discriminated because of the love and support from the Rainbow staff and Brothers The guidance and counseling we get from the team is very helpful and we appreciate that. Every year Rainbow organizes many seminars, workshops for children, young people and parents. Those are very much appreciated and we learn many things from them. Rainbow provides Education support for our Children. It helps our children to continue their studies and go for higher education to create a better future for us. As a young person in Rainbow family I really admire the service, the care and support of the brothers and the staff. I too am inspired to do the same for children in need. Rainbow gives priority to our health whenever we fell sick. They assist us in going to the hospital and getting better treatment. I don’t have enough words to say thank you to Rainbow but from the bottom of my heart I feel grateful for being cared for by Brothers and staff. Because of Rainbow I found hope in my life; I am able to live my life and face the challenges in our family as well as in our society. Our needs are met with the help of Rainbow to continue our life and we are very hopeful of better life. Our sincere thanks to the benefactors, Brothers, staff and all the volunteers for your selfless service and care and love.
