About the opportunity As a key member of the Group Services, Human Resources team and reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Talent Acquisition Manager will contribute to the success of Pacific Radiology by developing and delivering a talent attraction and recruitment strategy that enables Pacific Radiology to secure and maintain a suitably qualified and experienced workforce to meet the current and future needs of the business; maximising Pacific Radiology’s brand strength and leveraging their Employee Value Proposition to attract candidates both nationally and internationally. In doing this; the Talent Acquisition Manager will: • Define, develop and deliver a talent attraction and recruitment strategy that reflects the current and future workforce plan • Drive key talent acquisition activities by providing sourcing advice and support to recruiting managers on hard to fill vacancies • Build and maintain strong internal relationships with hiring managers and the HR team to meet the overall HR strategy and business objectives • Analyse workforce data to identify trends, make sound decisions and propose change as appropriate • Report on recruitment activities, identifying ‘what works’ and areas of concern, taking a continuous improvement focus and leading change where required This pivotal role needs someone who can quickly gain credibility and lead talent acquisition within a complex, technical environment. About you To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a minimum of five years’ experience in sourcing technical roles and can demonstrate your experience in leveraging social media and other advertising and search channels to attract talent both nationally and internationally. Pacific Radiology’s Group Services function is based across our Christchurch and Wellington offices.
Purpose of role: The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing and delivering a talent attraction and recruitment strategy that enables Pacific Radiology to secure and maintain a suitably qualified and experienced workforce to meet the current and future needs of the business; maximising Pacific Radiology’s brand strength and leveraging our Employee Value Proposition to attract candidates both nationally and internationally. Key responsibilities: • Talent Acquisition Strategy o Developing and delivering a talent attraction and recruitment strategy that reflects the current and future workforce plan o Formulate an action plan to attract a pipeline of suitably qualified and experienced candidates to key roles across the business in line with the workforce plan; factoring in skill shortage, natural attrition and an aging workforce o Identifying third party recruitment partners; negotiating high-value low-cost preferred supplier agreements that reduces hiring times and minimises recruitment spend o In conjunction with marketing and communications, develop on-brand materials and leverage social media platforms and advertising channels that ensure high-visibility of Pacific Radiology as an employer of choice in the active and passive candidate market. • Recruitment and Selection o Drive key talent acquisition activities by providing sourcing advice and support to recruiting managers on hard to fill vacancies o Promote Pacific Radiology as a world class service provider, enticing candidate attraction both nationally and internationally through promotion of our EVP, creating a pipeline of key talent for the business o Drive proactive sourcing activities that target key roles and minimise recruitment spend and time to hire on hard to fill vacancies o Be the primary contact for the recruitment of key Executive and senior leadership positions, supporting the CEO at each stage of the process where required o Work closely with business leaders on workforce planning to ensure attraction and recruitment activities align to the current and future business needs o Ensure recruiting managers have considered their overall workforce needs (both current and future) when recruiting, including internal secondments, fixed term or casual workers o Ensure recruiting managers understand the end-to-end process and have the appropriate delegated authority approval in place prior to recruiting o Work closely with the HR Coordinator to identify process improvement opportunities and reduce time to hire. • Build and Maintain Strong Relationships o Build and maintain strong internal relationships with hiring managers and the HR team to meet the overall HR strategy and business objectives o Establish and maintain excellent relationships with recruiting managers, developing a sound understanding of their business challenges, issues and priorities o Working collaboratively with the HR Coordinator and HR team to streamline and improve end-to-end recruitment processes. o Develop and maintain strong relationships with external service providers ensuring information and feedback channels supports continuous improvement. • Drive the Organisation’s Strategy and Objectives o Work closely with the wider HR team and business leaders to drive attraction and recruitment activities that align with the organisation’s strategy and objectives. o Provide people leaders feedback on the recruitment strategy, reporting on attraction rates, the employee referral scheme, digital and social media reach, talent pool activities and hiring time statistics o Participate in wider HR projects and initiatives related to recruitment and resourcing activities e.g. suc- cession planning, policy and process improvement, technology enhancements and employee engage- ment
o Report on recruitment activities, identifying ‘what works’ and areas of concern, taking a continuous improvement focus and leading change where required o Organise and represent PRG at industry conferences as appropriate o Analyse workforce data to identify trends, make sound decisions and propose change as appropriate o Develop, maintain and represent our Employee Value Proposition and use this for the purposes of building a solid pipeline of talent for the organisation o Collaborate with internal marketing and communication leads to ensure recruitment is appropriately represented and brand aligned in all contexts. Health & Safety, Policy and Compliance • Comply with company policies, guidelines and procedures • Promote and support initiatives that contribute to a healthy and safe working environment for employees, visitors and contractors • Ensure compliance with health and safety policy and procedures, including accident and incident reporting, investigation, hazard management, induction, employee participation, visitor and contractor management • Ensure awareness of, and adherence to, all employment and health & safety legislative requirements Knowledge, skills and experience required: • Proven experience in leading talent acquisition within a corporate environment, from strategy development to planned execution • Experience in workforce planning, data analysis and reporting • Demonstrated experience in leveraging social media and other advertising and search channels to attract talent both nationally and internationally • Ability to identify and action process improvement, leveraging existing technologies and building internal recruitment capability • Passion and expertise in working collaboratively with others, coaching and guiding through effective recruitment practices and sourcing strategies • Solid understanding of the EVP with the ability to develop and maintain one as well as influence hiring managers and candidates aligned to the EVP • A love of problem solving combined with sound judgement, integrity and resilience to cope with the unexpected or challenging • Strong communication skills – written and verbal – with the proven ability to represent a brand professionally • Ideally a minimum of five years’ experience in sourcing specific roles • Sound understanding of employment legislation and case law as it relates to recruitment and sourcing Direct reports: • Nil Relationships: External: As required (could include HR professional bodies, system suppliers/consultants, and potential employees) Internal: Clinical and Non-Clinical staff, People leaders (including senior leadership teams), Radiologists Authority: • Nil Agreement: I agree to the outline of the role in this job description and recognise that the contents may need to be amended from time to time to reflect changing business requirements.
