POSITION DESCRIPTION HUMAN RESOURCES GRADUATE Date: May 2019 Location: Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) Responsible to: HR Services Delivery Manager PRIMARY OBJECTIVES To support the HR team in effective delivery of a high performing HR Service maintaining exceptional customer services by providing HR support across the employee life cycle. This includes support and co-ordination around the design, implementation and maintenance of ‘best practice’ human resources systems, policies, processes and resources. Generalist HR Support ▪ Work with the HR team to support ▪ Managers receive high leaders to address early quality feedback and advice performance issues, and develop ▪ Staff issues are managed at performance improvement plans the appropriate level and the for staff as required HR Services Delivery ▪ Work with managers to provide Manager and IR Manager accurate and timely information are kept informed on HR issues ▪ Escalate issues beyond own area of expertise (to HR Manager or IR Manager) ▪ Assist with operational initiatives that support engagement and retention of skilled workers ▪ Support the team on job evaluations and remuneration recommendations to managers, Employment Relations ▪ Under supervision of the IR ▪ Active involvement in all ER Manager or HR Services Delivery issues.
