The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) invites you to apply to join our seasonal workforce! DEEP’s seasonal staff help to protect swimmers on our beaches; keep Connecticut’s outdoor spaces open, operating and maintained; help defend the state from forest fires; conduct research on fish and wildlife; support our fish hatcheries and stocking programs; monitor water quality; assist our specialized trade, construction and engineering units and perform countless other important roles that keep the department running smoothly each season. The agency is pleased to report that the salary range for many seasonal positions has expanded this year to the rates shown below: • Seasonal Resource Assistant $13-$17.00/hr. • Lifeguard $13-$17.00/hr. • Lifeguard Supervisor $14-$18.00/hr. • Beach Director $16-$20.00/hr. Dawn Gorack- Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Northwest Community College would like to welcome Dawn Gorack as the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Jay Whitaker, Interim Dean of Academic and Student Affairs. Dawn received her BS in Psychology from Quinnipiac University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut. Dawn has been an Administrative Assistant with Litchfield Public Schools for the past 6 years. Outside of work Dawn is an avid New York Mets and New York Giants fan as well as UConn Women's softball. Emilee Maus- Guided Pathways Advisor Emilee Maus joins Northwestern CT Community College as a GPA 1 with 7 years of admissions experience at Goodwin University. She graduated from CCSU in 2012 with her BA in Psychology, and from Goodwin University in 2021 with her MS in Organizational Leadership. In her spare time, Emilee volunteers at a cat adoption center helping shelter cats find homes. She loves music and food, and spends as much time with her family and friends as possible.

Get your Student ID & UPass Office of Student Activities (GW110) & Library Students can obtain their Student ID's and UPass at the Library & Student Activities Office during their regular business hours. Please bring your photo ID such as driver’s license or passport when requesting a new student ID.

Student Emergency Fund We are Here to Help! The Northwestern Student Emergency Fund (NSEF) was established to provide a source of funds for current and enrolled NCCC students who encounter unexpected emergency expenses, which fall within the parameters of eligibility. Students should contact Dr. Ruth Gonzalez, Director of Student Development prior to applying for funds. U-PASS @ NORTHWESTERN Get your U-Pass at the Library, in the student activities office (GW110), or the Cashiers Office (GW 2nd Floor) Who is eligible? The U-Pass is available to both full- and part-time credit undergraduate students taking at least one class per semester on campus at the participating colleges and universities. All students taking on-ground or online may obtain a pass. Senior Citizens and High School Partnership students are not eligible. For how long is the pass effective: The Spring semester U-Pass covers January 1-July 30. For more information: https://www.nwcc.edu/upass/
