The schedule is Student-Interest Driven. Students can take courses at three different levels: Cambridge, Advanced, and Regular Incoming 6th grade students can earn up to 7 high school credits before matriculating to the high school. Cambridge Lower Secondary is an internationally recognized curriculum founded over 150 years ago in Cambridge, England. Over 10,000 schools in more than 160 countries offer Cambridge programs and qualifications. Students develop their skills and understanding in English, Mathematics, and Science and learn to think globally. The Cambridge objectives of Innovation, Engagement, Responsibility, Confidence and Reflection prepare students for their new future.
Our Teachers care and are trained in Cambridge philosophy. Buffalo Creek offers the Lower Secondary (middle school) & Pre-AICE (high school) levels of Cambridge curriculum. WHY The Cambridge Lower Secondary and Pre-AICE courses will prepare students for the rigors of the Cambridge AICE program at PHS and all other HS higher level programs CAMBRIDGE including AP, IB and Dual Enrollment. AT THE Academy Students are a cohort of scholars who share an academically focused mindset. CREEK? BCMS Academy Students can earn up to 7 high school credits in Algebra, Geometry, English, Science, Spanish, Agriculture, and Global Perspectives.

Mathematics at Buffalo Creek makes connections to and expands upon much of the content students have learned throughout their lives. Here, students are taken from a basic knowledge to an intuitive understanding of numbers, their magnitude, relationships, and impacts on the world during explorations of probability and statistics, dimensional analysis, and modeling their understanding in fun and engaging ways.
Middle school science integrates earth science, life science, and physical science. Science classes balance hands-on activities, textbook work, technology, and class discussions. Science students explore our world around us and answer questions based on phenomena using facts and evidence.

CAMBRIDGE ACADEMY APPLICATION PROCESS Our Cambridge Academy Application for the 2021-2022 school year is located digitally on the Buffalo Creek Middle Website. Applications will be accepted until February 12, 2021. Applications submitted after the deadline will only be placed on the waiting list and will be considered based on enrollment. Students and parents will be notified of acceptance the week of March 8, 2021. Waiting list notifications will begin late April 2021.
