Buxton Crescent is a Grade 1 listed building with a
fascinating past and exciting future. The impressive
building was the centrepiece in the Fifth Duke of
Devonshire’s plans to establish a fashionable Georgian
spa town in Buxton. The original layout included two
hotels, six lodging houses and an imposing Assembly
Room. The current restoration and redevelopment will
create a luxury 80 bedroom hotel, impressive natural
thermal mineral spa and a number of restored meeting
and event spaces including the Assembly Room. It is
anticipated that the hotel will open in 2019.
