UPDATE HARRISON STREET HOUSING REDEVELOPMENT On Monday 16 November, Wellington City Council held a dawn karakia with Taranaki Whanui to bless the land at the Harrison Street redevelopment site. The redevelopment will increase the supply of warm and dry family homes in Wellington. Room 1 have learnt about how plants grow, the names of parts of plants and what they are for. They planted cress seeds that grew into hair for their cup faces. Room 2 have been learning about separating and mixing materials. They have learnt about insulation and had to design and make a container to insulate an ice cube. Room 4 researched DNA and then made edible DNA from liquorice and sweets. They have also been learning about different body parts and systems, from digestion to respiration, to the kidneys.
