ABOUT THE PANELISTS JESRINA ARSHAD | PurelyB Jesrina is the Co-founder and CEO of PurelyB.com. Launched in 2015, PurelyB is South East Asia’s leading health and wellness online community portal. Providing holistic wellness content on nutrition, fitness and mindfulness with a mission to transform people’s quality of health and life through online guided solutions created by the best health experts worldwide. In 2016 PurelyB launched Malaysia’s first holistic wellness TV show with Astro, SE-Asia’s largest media entertainment group. Today they have members spanning across 8 countries globally including US, Australia and UK. Prior to PurelyB, Jesrina was Head of Digital Marketing & Strategy at Astro Malaysia Holdings, Digital media manager at Mindshare Malaysia (Head of Digital for clients Maxis, Astro & Sime Darby Group), and Web Designer & Developer at VLT (now Mckinsey Labs). Jesrina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Technology and Design from the University of Kent, and a Master’s degree in Marketing. BRAD ROBINSON | Ritual Gym Brad Robinson is a Founder and Chief Executive of the award-winning Ritual Gym. With over 15 years of global entrepreneurial experience, Brad is a proven business leader and entrepreneur now driven by his desire to change the global fitness landscape, improving lives along the way. Prior to opening Ritual, Brad served as a Managing Partner for Empire Automation; an Asia based market leader in CCTV and Security Systems Integrator for a wide range of corporate clients that include casinos and many Fortune 100 businesses. Brad has also served as the Managing Director for FreightWatch Group, Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the supply chain security needs of several Fortune 500 clients. ELIKA MATHER | Kitchen by Food Rebel Following a 10 year career in Corporate HR Consultancy, servicing a number of Fortune 500 Companies, Elika completed her training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and launched Kitchen by Food Rebel and Elika Fit in 2015. Inspired as an answer to her own health issues and the lack of healthy food options in the CBD, Elika set out to solve her own problem knowing it was shared by many. As the owner of Kitchen by Food Rebel and a certified Raw Food Chef, the cafe's mission is to improve their customers health through a recipe of awareness, education & great food. Elika provides education workshops & cooking classes onsite and works with a number of local start‐up and suppliers to source quality fresh ingredients that can be used in-house to make fresh meals daily. As a Health Coach Elika works with individuals & companies and provides the truth about nutrition enabling healthier lifestyles through coaching, consulting & healthy food.

ABOUT THE PANELISTS PETER THEW | Yoga Movement In 2007, having finished his Marketing Degree at the University of Hawaii, Peter Thew was moved to Bali to take on the regional Marketing Manager Role for Global Youth lifestyle brand, Billabong. A few years in, he was promoted to the Regional Brand Management, overseeing branded solutions for existing markets, and helping establish game plans for entry into new markets throughout the region. Bringing his passion for branding and a desire to address the existing position of yoga in the Singapore market, Peter and his wife created Yoga Movement. The YM Brand now has 6 established locations across the Lion City, that boast complimentary Academy, Retail, and F&B offerings. LAUREN ARMES | Welltodo Lauren Armes is a business coach, speaker, writer and entrepreneur. She founded Welltodo, a global industry network for the wellness industry, in 2014. Welltodo is now respected as a definitive voice for the business of wellness, spotlighting innovation and trends, case studies and insights. As a company, Welltodo helps people to build incredible businesses and careers in the wellness industry – through its events, recruitment and coaching services, and more. ALBERT SHY | Burda Principal Investments Albert heads Burda Principal Investments' Singapore office and currently sits on the board of Zilingo, Carsome, and Priceza. Previously he was at GREE Ventures from 2014 to 2017, where he led the fund's investment team in Southeast Asia and India. Prior to this, he served as a Director at Lazada Group, helping build the company’s Marketplace business across the region. Other professional experience includes co-founding an online menswear company in the US and spending 5 years as a management consultant at Monitor Group. He completed his MBA at the University of California, Berkeley and did his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania
ABOUT THE PANELISTS (CONTINUED) EDDY LEE | Coffee Ventures Eddy has invested in more than 50 US and Asian startups. He relocated from Silicon Valley to Southeast Asia to Co-Found Coffee Ventures so as to tackle unmet needs in Southeast Asian markets. The early stage fund focuses on people development, product- market iteration, and go-to-market strategy. He mentors at Stanford University’s StartX accelerator among other institutions and was previously a consulting professor, a medical imaging scientist, and a circuit design engineer. JEFFREY LIU | GuavaPass Jeffrey is the CEO of GuavaPass, the pan-Asian healthy living community he co-founded in 2015 with Rob Pachter. GuavaPass provides a community of fitness studios and healthy-living experts, offering unlimited classes at premium locations across Asia. Jeffrey was formerly the Head of Corporate Development at BeachMint, a venture-backed social e-commerce startup in Santa Monica. Additionally, Jeffrey ran the company’s Business Intelligence and Analytics divisions. Jeff forefronted the merger between BeachMint and Lucky Magazine, a Conde Nast subsidiary, forming The Lucky Group. Previously, Jeffrey helped launched a hedge fund in Singapore, worked as an investment professional at a special opportunities hedge fund in Chicago, and as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers. Aside from the United States, he has lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and the Philippines.
ABOUT THE PANELISTS (CONTINUED) MARCUS CHOW | Bird & Bird Marcus is head of the Corporate Group in the Singapore office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, equity capital markets and regulatory compliance work. He also advises on corporate governance and Singapore stock exchange related matters. He is involved in regional cross border transactions in PRC (including Hong Kong), Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and India. Marcus has previously worked at several international law firms in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has experience in a range of industries including manufacturing, retail, construction, real estate, food and beverage, banking and finance, airlines, mining and agriculture and technology. Marcus previously worked at Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited where he was in the issuers' regulation department in charge of vetting listing and IPO applicants and enforcing continuing listing obligations on listed companies. GRANT 'AXE' RAWLINSON | Human Powered Sales Explorer Grant ‘Axe’ Rawlinson is the Human Powered Sales Explorer. Born with an intense natural curiosity, for 20 years he has been achieving powerful goals in the world of business and exploration. From the street level to the boardroom, and over 50 expeditions across the globe including summiting Mt Everest and crossing oceans and continents completely by human-power, Grant now uses the knowledge he has gained to inspire and help sales and business teams make more effective decisions by adopting the mindset of explorers and ultimately achieve higher, harder and more powerful goals. A native of New Zealand, Grant lives in Singapore, is a professional member of the Asian Professional Speakers Association and is married to Stephanie with twin daughters Kate and Rachel.
