www.wenhamma.gov Board of Selectmen @townofwenhamma January 26, 2021 Public Input Public input will be for a total of 10 minutes. Each Wenham resident will be allowed 2 minutes which will allow for five total residents to speak. • At the discretion of the Chairman, time may be set aside on the meeting agenda for a Public Comment period. • After being recognized by the Chairman, the speaker will identify themselves by name, street address, and the proposed subject upon which they want to speak. • Attendees can use their allocated time to speak on a matter affecting the town or matters under the purview of town government not questions directed to individual Selectmen or the board as a whole. • The Public Comment period cannot be used to endorse candidates for office, to endorse ballot questions, or to discuss topics on ballot questions. • The Board of Selectmen will not deliberate or vote on matters brought up during the Public Comment period. The Chairman may decide to add the matter to a future meeting agenda.

www.wenhamma.gov Board of Selectmen @townofwenhamma January 26, 2021 Announcements Affordable Unit Available at 83 Dodges Row Public Information Session Thursday, February 4, 6pm via Zoom The renovated two bedroom single family affordable unit is available, by lottery, for an eligible first time homebuyer through MCO Housing Services , LLC for a maximum sales price of $272,100. Lottery application packets are available in the Town Clerk’s office and at wenhamma.gov/affordable with a due date of March 1. The lottery will be held March 15 via Zoom.
www.wenhamma.gov Board of Selectmen @townofwenhamma January 26, 2021 Announcements Nomination Papers for Annual Town Election Available January 29, 2021 • Nomination papers for all seats except for the School Committee must be picked up in the Town Clerk's office at Wenham Town Hall by appointment only and are due back by March 18, 2021 with at least 21 signatures. • Nomination papers for the School Committee seats must be picked up in the District Administration Office and are due back there by Thursday March 18, 2021 with at least 40 signatures. • The last day to withdraw from the Annual Town Election ballot is Monday April 5, 2021. www.wenhamma.gov Board of Selectmen @townofwenhamma January 26, 2021 Announcements Town Census Forms Due January 31, 2021 • MGL c. 51 §4 requires an annual census which must be completed as accurately as possible to ensure proof of residence, protection of voting rights, and other benefits. • Residents are to include all persons and animals as requested • Signed forms may be left in the Town Hall Drop Box or mailed to the Town Clerk’s Office • Scanned signed forms may also be emailed to dbucco@wenhamma.gov Visit wenhamma.gov/census for more information or call the Town Clerk’s office at 978-468-5520 x1.
www.wenhamma.gov Board of Selectmen @townofwenhamma January 26, 2021 Announcements Dog Registration Forms Due January 31, 2021 • All dogs six months and older shall be inoculated against rabies and licensed with the Town, as required by Massachusetts General Law Chapter 140, §137. • Wenham Bylaw Chapter XXIII, B sections 2 & 3 explain that the annual license for dogs is valid from January through December. • $10/per dog ($15 if it is not neutered) A late fee of $25 is assessed if the dog is not registered by February 1st. • Dog registration information is mailed to all households with the annual census at the end of December. The winner will be announced at a meeting of the Board of Selectmen and will receive a gift basket of dog goodies.

www.wenhamma.gov Board of Selectmen @townofwenhamma January 26, 2021 Reports Town Administrator: FY21 Chapter 90 Allocations • Governor filed annual $200 million bill. • Should be approved by the Legislature in the Spring. • Wenham has general received between $151,000 to $154,000 since FY12 • Funding amount is determined by a formula which includes, roadway mileage, population and employment. • I’ve advocated with MMA over the years to increase the funding to $300 million annually.

Public information session for Wenham residents is scheduled for January 27. I have been attending their PAC meetings. Recent Economic Stimulus Bill Legislation signed by Governor Baker will impact Wenham • MBTA Communities will be required to create zone where multi family housing is allowed by right- Planning Board will be responsible for updating zoning bylaws to accommodate these regulations. We are waiting for some direction from Town Counsel Processing building permits for adherence to zoning and conservation requirements Answering resident and public questions for all Land Use Departments and concerns through phone and email

There will be a waiting list for appointments and we will handle requests as quickly as possible.
