(BOD 5/12) AHA Value Show Rules: All classes are to be conducted in accordance with the rules of AHA. Judging, class specifications, rules and conduct shall be in accordance with the current USEF Rulebook. All decisions made by the judge and/or show management are deemed final and cannot be protested. Arabian Registration Papers (only for classes 1-61): Arabian and Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian horses one year of age or over must be registered or if under one year of age, be eligible for registry and registration applied for. A copy of the registration papers for each horse entered in this show must be
send with entries. Copies of both registrations must be sent for horses being shown in both the Half- Arabian and Anglo-Arabian. Horses must be shown under their full registered name. (AR101) Stabling: Permanent 12 x 12 stalls with dutch doors. Competitors are responsible for stall damage. Smoking is prohibited in stall and barn areas. Horses must not arrive prior to 12PM the day prior to the competition without permission from show management and must be off grounds 1 hour after the last ride until permission has been granted by show management. Bedding: If required bedding must be purchased on entry form. Competitors may bring their own shavings and/or sawdust. Second light turn right on Reamers Rd. 8/10th of a mile turn right after hill onto Reamers Lane. Go 2/10th of a mile then on gravel road with two red gates and Stonehurst sign on the right with two American flags turn right. No Show: All “no shows’ that have not contacted the show office prior to first ride will be considered a scratch for the rest of the show and time slots may be filled. Ride Times: Ride times and show updates will be posted at www.stonehurstridingcenter.com. It is the responsibility of the rider to inform show management of any time conflicts as soon as possible after receiving their ride times. The final class schedule will be posted and available at the show office. Entry Cancellation/Refunds/Hazardous Weather/Acts of God/Emergencies: Refunds (except office fee) will be given only if submitted in writing either by mail or email prior to or on the closing date. No refunds for any reason after closing date unless you can find someone to take all your exact rides and ride times, then if so, entire entry fees minus office fee will be refunded. Management reserves the right to cancel any classes due to hazardous weather, Acts of God, accident, or emergency. Every effort will be made to reschedule. No refunds for cancellations due to hazardous weather, Acts of God, accidents, or emergencies. Other: All dogs must be leashed and attached to a person or immovable object. All entries must include a negative Coggins report dated within one year of the show date Entries must be legible and include all signatures and copies of all required cards in addition to full payment. Protective Headgear Rules for Dressage: Effective April 1, 2013, for dressage: From the time horses are officially admitted to the competition grounds including non-competing riders, riders on non- competing horses, and those competing in all dressage classes and tests, including Para-Equestrian, must wear protective headgear as defined by this rule and otherwise in compliance with GR801. Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place.
Warning: Under the Equine Activity Liability Act, each participant who participates in an equine activity expressly assumes the risks of engaging in and legal responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to person or property resulting from the risk of equine activities. Neither the Organizing Committee, show volunteers and staff, the facility or its owners will be responsible for any damage, injury, or loss to persons, horses, or property of exhibitors or spectators. All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out third-party insurance providing full coverage to participation in equestrian events at home and abroad and to keep the policy up to date. Arenas: Indoor 20m x x60m sand competition arena with 1 large outdoor sand warm-up arena and one lungeing pen. All tests are in standard arena-in case of overfill; show may elect to run classes in a short arena. Food and concessions will be available on the show grounds during normal show hours. Classes may not necessarily be run in the order listed below. Show Management reserves the right to combine, split or cancel classes as entries warrant. Show management reserves the right to vary or add officials and refuse any entry for a cause. Show management reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary for the safe and efficient conduct of this competition. Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to sixth place for each class. Prize Money: High score prize money of $25 will be awarded to the highest scoring in-hand horse and also to the highest scoring horse competing in a dressage test. Sport Horse Under Saddle Special Notes: Spectators are asked to stay five feet away from the competition arena perimeter. The next rider to enter the competition arena needs to be waiting outside the arena prior to their ride. The ring steward will call for each rider however the rider is responsible for being ready to enter the arena at the officially scheduled time. Competitors are required to check in with the show office when you arrive to pick up your packet. If a reader or braider is required contact Natacha ASAP (502-550-5631) to arrange. Class Fees: Fee per class Dressage & Western Dressage $25 Sport Horse Under Saddle & In-Hand, Equitation $20 AHA Fees: AHA Horse Fee: $5 per horse (mandatory for horses in classes 1-61) AHA 9-90 Fee: $5 per horse (mandatory for horses in classes 1-61) AHA Single Event Fee: $35 per rider/owner/trainer/handler/coach if no valid AHA membership with competition card supplied. (Only for entries in classes 1-61) Other Fees: Office Fee: $25 per horse (mandatory for all entries) Stabling (includes 1 bag of shavings, 12PM Friday until one hour after last ride of competition): $50 Early Stabling: additional $40 Haul in Fee: $20 per horse per day (mandatory unless horse is stabled on grounds or stall is paid for) Bedding: $8/bag of shavings (must pre pay on entry form)
Late Entry Fee per Horse: $25 if postmarked after February 28, 2020 Incomplete entries: $25 if missing required cards, signatures, coggins etc. Make checks payable to Stonehurst Riding Center and mail with completed entries (including AHA membership cards and AHA horse registration certificates) to Krystina Wright, 620 Kenova Trace Lexington KY 40511. Entries must be postmarked by February 28, 2020 to avoid $25 late entry fee per horse.
