GETTING TWO PRE-ARRIVAL TASKS In order to access the appointment scheduling system in the Housing Portal on our homepage STARTED at louisville.edu/housing, all residents arriving on campus must complete two pre-arrival tasks. 1. Review and electronically sign an addendum to your Fall 2020-Spring 2021 license agreement by logging into the Housing Portal. You will then be automatically prompted to review and electronically sign the addendum. 2. After signing the addendum, visit louisvillestudents-ky.safecolleges.com/ and to complete a resident health module. Log in using your ULink User ID and Password. Under “My Assignments,” select “Coronavirus: Managing Stress and Anxiety.” While UofL students may have additional courses, this is the only required course for Campus Housing. 3. After completing both tasks above, please allow one full business day before logging into the Housing Portal to schedule an appointment. ! SCHEDULE OPTION 1: DROP -AND-GO If you choose the drop-and-go option, AN you will be able to check into your room assignment and move your items into your room. However, you will be asked to depart APPOINTMENT the hall at the end of your appointment and will be able to re-access your room beginning on the first day of your hall’s move-in. Limited staff will be available to assist you with checking in, and you will be able to check out a move-in bin for loading your items. You will not be able to schedule a move-in appointment if you take advantage of this option. However, you may still proceed to move additional items into your room during move-in days. Learn more here. OPTION 2: MOVE-IN If you choose the move-in option, you will be able to check into your room assignment and move your items into your room. You will be able to stay in your room or check out our Welcome Week activities around campus following your appointment. You may access your room at any time after your appointment. Volunteer staff will be available to assist with your "hands-off" needs, and you will be able to check out a move-in bin for loading your items. You will not be able to schedule a drop-and- go appointment if you take advantage of this option. Learn more here. PARKING UNLOADING Residents who display the temporary parking pass below during their drop-and-go or move- & in appointment will be able to take advantage of free parking during their appointment ONLY. We highly encourage you to print your SHUTTLE pass ahead-of-time; however, we will have extras available upon your arrival. We kindly ask all residents to move their vehicles by the INFO end of their appointment so that others may be able to utilize the unloading area. SHUTTLE INFORMATION On August 12-14 only, residents and families can take advantage of free parking at Cardinal Stadium after unloading their vehicles at the residents halls. » Free shuttles will run every ten minutes between Cardinal Stadium and bus stops located throughout Belknap Campus. » See the following page for the move-in shuttle route. MEET YOUR HALL DIRECTOR JEREMY MIRACLE Jeremy recently joined the Residential Education team and is the new Hall Director of Bettie Johnson Hall. A former Greek House and Resident Director at the University of Kentucky, he is returning to Higher Education after spending the last 8 years in management and educational consulting for clients around the world. Jeremy is excited to use his background in Program Development and Curriculum Design to improve the student experience at the University of Louisville! HALL WIFI: Campus Housing provides free WiFi exclusive INFO to our residence halls. All of our halls except University Pointe and Cardinal Towne feature MyResNet WiFi. University Pointe and Cardinal Towne feature Pavlov Media. Get connected and start streaming from your device at louisville.edu/housing/options/info/internet. LAUNDRY All halls (excluding CardTowne and UPointe, which feature in-unit washers/dryers) offer shared laundry facilities. Residents receive two free wash and two free dry cycles/week via the Speed Queen app*. Get started at louisville.edu/housing/options/info/laundry. *Use the ULINK version of your UofL email (e.g. msblai09@louisville.edu) and select “Forgot Password” when creating an account so you can view your pre-loaded laundry stipend! MAINTENANCE Having issues in your room or common area? Just submit a “Fix-it” form at louisville.edu/ housing/forms/requests/fixit.
