Adventure Camp Information “My child had a great time at Y Adventure Camp. He was free to explore nature, meet new and diverse people, and learn some great camp songs. Thanks for loving and caring for my child!.” Adventure Camp is a safe, exciting experience in which campers explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop new skills and make life long memories. Weekly sessions are designed to build community. Kids are divided into trail groups by age and will have the same counselor throughout the week. This allows the groups to form strong bonds and the kids lasting friendships. Each day will build on the one previous, and the week culminates with a special ceremony on Friday celebrating the week of camp. This year’s weekly themes will be based on popular children’s literature and will promote learning and variety. Our themes are designed so campers may have experiences beyond the ordinary and so that each week of camp is fresh. Campers are active all day long and have a blast while developing the YMCA character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
