GENERAL INFORMATION
  Date: March 19- 23, 2022.

  Social media: BC Hockey U13 Tier 2 Provincial Championships:

  Coaches Meeting: March 19th at 5pm. Meeting will be at Shaw
  Centre upper level restaurant/bar area with Sherry Wakelin and is
  mandatory.

  Equipment checks: Reminder that a BC Hockey representative will
  be checking equipment for safety.

      -   PANTS - No tears, loose threads and/or dangling belts/straps. Inside zippers
          done up and working.
      -   STICK - Plug is in butt end of the stick (top). Blade has no sharp edges, breakages.
      -   HELMET - Must have visible CSA label, snug chin strap, ear guards, be decal/tape
          free & not painted. No cracks in shell or padding.
      -   FACEMASK - No metal bars broken on cages - Tight screws and if replacements,
          not too long. Straps snug with stretch in elastic. Clips in place. No cracks in
          plastic, watch for rust at wire seams.
      -   GLOVES - High enough to covers wrist. Firm fingers, thumb and back padding.
          Palms soft and pliable. No holes near fingers or in palm larger than a quarter. No
          loose threads.
      -   NECKGUARD - Completely covers neck. Fits snug enough to avoid exposing
          parts of neck and upper chest. MUST have BNQ certification, be free of fabic
          cuts. Velcro strap not worn and in good working order. Must not be altered in
          any way. Rips or tears should be sewn. No tape wrapped around neckguard.

Opening Ceremony: March 20th prior to game 4, 6:10 pm Shaw
Centre. We will be honouring our local Secwepemc Bands by raising
the Secwepemc Flag in our arenas. Each team will be brought onto
the ice behind a sign with their city name carried by one of our U9
players. We would like all teams to be in their team jerseys for
opening ceremonies please. More information to come later. The
two teams that will play at 7pm will be dressed in their equipment
and ready to go for game time.

Information for each team to provide: Please send at your
earliest convenience the following:

      1)Team photo with names and coaches’ names for program.

      2) Association and team logos

      3) Team colours- home and away.

      4) All contact information for coaches and managers.

      5) Roster.

      6) Hotel that you have chosen to stay at.

SHAW CENTRE ARENA

  We have a fantastic concession available in the bottom floor lobby area with a
  great variety of delicious treats.

  COVID information:

  Teams can enter 40 minutes prior to game time. At this stage,
  dryland is still not allowed inside the arena.

  Bench staff must show POV and I.D.

  Spectators can enter 5-10 minutes prior to game start and must show
  POV and I.D. Spectators 12 yrs. to 18 years old need to show POV
  but not photo I.D. Children under 12 do not need to show POV and
  must be accompanied by an adult.

  All spectators, bench staff and players must wear masks into the
  building, including children 5 years of age and older. Bench staff
  and players can remove masks when on bench. All spectators must
  keep masks on during the event unless they are consuming food or
  drinks.
