BACK TO THE FUTURE: AI AND THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION 11° CAM ANNUAL CONFERENCE ONLINE, 27 NOVEMBER 2020, 9.00-13.00 www.camera-arbitrale.com
BACK TO THE FUTURE: AI AND THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION "Wait a minute, Doc. Are you telling me you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?” Long before Covid-19 locked the world down, arbitration already had many customized DeLoreans in the form of e-tools to conduct cases, though they did not take off. Technologies were underused and AI was regarded with a suspicious caution. The pandemic has been speeding up the process of widespread use of technology, as we have been experiencing for a while. We wonder whether Michael J. Fox’s famous quote suits our days: we aren’t ready for that yet (or are we?), but the next generation is gonna love it (or hate it, if we do not hand it over smoothly). Still, questions remain on the potential impact that e- arbitration might have on the administration of justice. We will discuss it with some of the main experts on the topic. www.camera-arbitrale.com
