Amrit Mahotsav Background • A Government of India initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of India and its glorious history, people, culture and achievements. • It is dedicated to the people of India for their contribution in India’s evolutionary journey and their power and potential to achieve India 2.0, fueled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. • It is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political and economic identity. • It commenced on 12th March 2021 which started a 75- week countdown to our 75th anniversary of Independence Source: amritmahotsav.nic.in and will end post a year on 15th August 2023.
• The broad mandate of the Ministry is to work towards ensuring holistic development of women and children. The Ministry of WCD is setting up 21 research chairs by UGC and Department of Biotechnology to commemorate Iconic Event by the prolific Indian women of their respective field of work the Ministry of and to promote education among women through WCD scholarships for higher education, such as: Scientists Administrators Artists Social Reformers 2. Launch of POSHAN Maah under Mission POSHAN 2.0 by the Honb’l Minister of WCD, at Kevadia, Gujarat shall include the campaign for fortified rice and millets for improving nutrition level and control of Anemia.

POSHAN POSHAN Maah Launch of POSHAN Maah shall include the campaign for fortified rice and millets for improving nutrition level and control of Anemia. These activities to be carried out through webinars and workshop from National, State levels all the way to Anganwadi level.
