As we start to welcome Victoria back to the rest of Australia, South Australia has had a bit of a hiccup! There is however a lot of positive news regarding a vaccine, and hopefully it will be widely available by mid next year. So now is a great time to start planning your next holiday. Even if it is still in Australia or close by, you really do need to book early to ensure you get what you want. Over the past couple of months, we have been chatting to a few clients that have ideas of where they want to travel in Australia in 2021. Some chose to book and others decided to wait and see. However, when they (the wait and see'rs) called back this week to book, the property they wanted is now completely full until July 2021. We must all remember that there are over 24 million Australians who are all desperate for a holiday and places are now getting booked out. I do not mean to push you into action but the reality is if you are planning on holidaying in Australia in 2021 or even 2022 you need to book now to get what you want. We had another client that wanted a particular cabin category on a Kimberley cruise and it was not available until July 2022! So please do not hesitate to give me a call or email to lock-in your Australian getaway! Email: mel.luxurytravelandcruise@gmail.com

Top 10 Reasons to Visit New Zealand 1. Food & Wine…and more… Kiwis are a modest bunch but when it comes to food and wine (and Rugby, of course!), we think ours is world-class! There’s an entire touring route dedicated to wine – the ‘Classic New Zealand Wine Trail’ covers Hawke’s Bay with its fantastic red blends and Chardonnay, the Wairarapa with characterful small towns and great wine, Marlborough with outstanding Sauvignon Blanc. Central Otago further south is considered one of the world’s top three Pinot Noir-growing regions and Waiheke Island off Auckland with its close to 40 vineyards makes for a fantastic city getaway. That wine paired with freshly caught crayfish, world-famous Bluff Oysters, or NZ lamb is a match made in heaven! For non-wine drinkers, craft beer breweries and boutique gin distilleries are on the rise! 2. Luxury Lodges New Zealand is home to some fine luxury lodges. Historic or contemporary, warm and welcoming, each and every one of them are about so much more than just luxurious accommodation. Gourmands and adventurers, romantics and families alike will find their perfect destination on absolute waterfront or ocean edge, remote alpine estates, ensconced in heritage gardens or native New Zealand forest… 3. Fiords & Sounds Fiordland’s sounds and fiords regularly make it to the top lists of must-see travel destinations worldwide. We say that’s no wonder! Located in 1.2 million hectares of UNESCO World Heritage-listed national park and at the end of the spectacular Milford Road, the dramatic landscape and astonishing formations of Milford Sound leave every visitor with their mouth wide open on arrival. Less photographed and spoken about, Doubtful Sound requires two bus rides and two boat trips to reach. The journey is part of the experience and due to its even more remote location, Doubtful gets less visitors than Milford.
