The Rugby World Cup 2011 (RWC2011) provides Pacific communities in New
Zealand with fantastic opportunities to promote their unique cultures, music,
crafts, cuisine, Pacific heritage and, not to forget, sporting prowess!

Dynamic Cook Islands drummers, Tahitian hula dancers, Kiribati musicians,
Samoan choir and dance groups, and Tongan brass bands will all feature
throughout New Zealand as we host the RWC2011. Many Pacific events are
planned for Pacific team game days.

The Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs has prepared a list of Pacific events and
activities happening around New Zealand during the RWC2011 tournament. This
will be updated regularly, so check our website often for updated events and
activities www.mpia.govt.nz
