WELCOME
I am continually amazed at how fast time goes by. It
seems like just yesterday that we were preparing for our 2020
Sale in the midst of the Covid Pandemic.
I once again would like to thank everyone involved in last
year’s sale. It was a record setting event and we are apprecia-
tive to all who made it possible.
Going into this year’s event, we are excited about the depth
and quality of the horses offered. We continue to maintain the
claim that you won’t go anywhere in the west and find a better
set of the best type and kind of real ranch and performance
horses offered at auction.
I feel that there is real value here that enables our buyers
to make accurate decisions about the horses in the sale, with
a preview that is second to none. They can’t sneak one by
here!! If they are advertised to do anything well, they will have
to prove it!!
We are grateful for consignors, buyers, family, friends and
sales staff who have made this event a success. Make plans
to be in Burns, Oregon on June 11 – 12, 2021. You’ll be glad you

Terms and Conditions
Sale Order: Horses will sell and preview in consecutive catalog order.
Bidding: Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder, with the excep-
tion of reserved prices. The decision of the auctioneer will be final if any
questions arise during the sale. The auctioneer also reserves the right
to reject any bid.
Phone Bids: We will be taking phone bids, but you need to be pre-approved
and registered. Please call Cory ahead of time and you will be given sale
day phone numbers.
Buyers Payment: Buyer shall pay for all animals at the conclusion of the
sale and shall pay the full price; with exception to the babies, with two-
thirds of the sale price due at sale and the remainder due at weaning; by
one of the following: cash, money order, cashier’s check, or personal check
(only with bank letter of guarantee made to Cory Shelman).
Credit Terms: Terms for the sale are cash unless credit terms have been
established prior to the sale with an authorized representative.
Right to Title: Right to title shall not pass to purchaser until the animal
has been paid in full and checks have cleared the bank, then they will be
mailed to the buyer.
Catalog: Every effort has been made to assure correctness of the cata-
log, however, the seller, sale management and auctioneer are not respon-
sible for errors or omissions. All statements and corrections announced
at the time of the sale shall supersede the catalog. All comments stat-
ed in the catalog are as stated from the consignors and not the sale
management. Again we have made every effort to assure the catalog is
correct.
Important: Unless stated to the contrary, the owner or representative
of each animal shall have the right to bid on his animal selling. A recorded
tape will be made of the entire sale which shall be used to settle any dis-
putes regarding statements made about animals while they are in the
auction ring. It is the right and responsibility of each potential buyer to
attend the preview and observe all animals prior to the sale.

The sale management or sale hosts assume no responsibility whatsoev-
er to anyone for blemishes, defects, the physical condition, soundness
or the health of the horse and makes no warranties or representation of
any kind in this sale, except in a case where the seller makes a specific
guarantee. In such case, the guarantee is strictly by the seller and not
the sale management. Right of recourse must be directed to the seller
and not through the sale management. Management acts as agents
only. The animals in this sale have NOT been vet checked. Buyers are
cautioned to be sure to inspect animals before buying. All animals are
sold “AS IS” and there can be no refusal to pay once you have signed the
Acknowledgment of Purchase.
Buyers assume all risk and expenses on horses after the auctioneer has
said “sold.” Horses must be removed from place of sale by buyer, by noon
on June 13th.
Buyers and spectators are cautioned to be careful while on the grounds
and particularly while horses are being sold or shown in the sale ring or
preview. The management will not be responsible for accidents.
Announcements: Announcements from the auction block take prece-
dence over any printed material.
Health: Horses will all have a negative Coggins Test and Health Certificate.
Inspection of Horses: There will be an onsite preview on Friday June 11 at
9:00 a.m. You may inquire about the horses earlier by contacting Cory
at (208) 539-1567.
Delivery: Shelman’s can assist you with delivery at cost.
