ASSAEROPORTI is the Italian airports Association and it represents the interests of 33 airport operators for 42 airports. In 2018, Assaeroporti’s members handled in total 185.7 million passengers, more than 1.6 million aircraft movements and 1.1 million tons of freight.
Established on May 31, 1967, Assaeroporti is member of ACI EUROPE - the European airports Association -, Confindustria - the lead organization of the Italian industry -, Federtrasporto - the Italian Association of transport infrastructures, logistics and tourist operators -, and IFSC - Italian Flight Safety Committee.
MISSION Assaeroporti represents the interests of the Italian airport operators, appraising their role and functions through the appropriate channels. The Association is delegated to negotiate the national collective labour agreement on behalf of the Italian airport operators. Assaeroporti deals with Italian and European Government institutions, with the aim of ensuring the development of the aviation sector, also through an organic reform of the Civil Aviation.
Assaeroporti promotes partnership among associated members, in order to improve the techniques and procedures of airport management, which guarantee the highest level of service quality. The Association cooperates with trade associations operating at national and international level, in order to learn, through a con- stant dialogue, the best practices of the Italian and European avia- tion sector.
WORKING GROUPS The associated members contribute to the activities carried out by Assaeroporti through specific Working Groups that meet periodically. The Working Groups include experts competent on specific areas by each airport operator associated to Assaeroporti. The Working Groups deal with matters of interest to each area of activity, in order to identify common guidelines to be pursued at national and European level. The 16 Assaeroporti Working Groups deal with the following subject areas: • AIR CARGO • AVIATION SAFETY • AVIATION SECURITY • COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA • CYBER SECURITY • ECONOMICS • ENVIRONMENT • HUMAN RESOURCES • LEGAL AFFAIRS • LOW COST CARRIERS • NON-AVIATION ACTIVITIES • OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY • OPERATIONS • PRIVACY • QUALITY OF SERVICE • RELATIONSHIP WITH GOVERNMENT AGENCIES • SMALL AIRPORTS • TAXATION
