Welcome message For more than seven years, James Cook University has convened the Anatomy of Surgical Exposure course in Cairns in their modern anatomy laboratories at the Smithfield Campus. The objective of this cadaver based dissection course is to instruct surgical trainees and junior surgeons in the techniques commonly used in elective and emergency surgery under the expert supervision of College Fellows and senior Anatomists. Cairns is a wonderful city, well known for its magnificent climate and world renowned attractions such as the Great Barrier Reef. Discover the fine food and restaurants, pristine beaches, rainforests and wildlife and a dynamic local indigenous arts and crafts scene. We encourage you to take this opportunity to consider sponsoring or exhibiting at this prestigious three day event and look forward to welcoming you to Cairns. Associate Professor Alan de Costa James Cook University Course Convenor Our participants Our applicants, limited in number to twenty, are fully qualified doctors with the majority on formal Surgical Training Pathways. They travel from across Australia and as far afield as New Zealand, specifically to attend the course. We have a combined faculty of over thirty Surgical Fellows from across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. The format of the program is designed to provide sponsors and exhibitors maximum access to both participants and faculty members throughout the course’s duration, including additional associated advertising and promotional opportunities.

The Anatomy of Surgical Exposure course will bring together experts in surgery from around the world. Sponsorship of the Course provides an excellent opportunity to: Demonstrate your organisation’s alignment with the surgical fraternity, and with our philosophy of providing a unique and valuable educational experience for all our participants. Promote your organisation and your products to participants and faculty members who are keen to improve their scientific and community knowledge. Maintain a high profile within the medical/surgical sector internationally, consolidate corporate and community relationships and expose your staff to their key markets. Increase brand awareness exposure to a keenly interested, relevant and, above all, influential audience in an educational environment away from the competition of everyday distractions. Network and build new relationships with key industry figures. If metropolitan and rural surgeons, orthopaedic specialists, surgical nurses, researchers, medical educators and private practice owners are part of your target market, there is no better way to reach them all in one place than by exhibiting and supporting this nationally recognised course.
