Trek Leader / Guide: Dr. Jon Kedrowski Dates: mid-April each year Duration: 14-16 days (varies pending weather delays on roundtrip flight from Kathmandu to Lukla) Accommodations: 5-Star hotel in Kathmandu; best tea houses and lodges on trek Grade: Moderate to Adventurous Altitude: 1400m/4600ft in Kathmandu to 5545m/18204ft at Kalapatthar Group size: 6-12 Transportation: private car / airplane or helicopter Meals: Provided – at lodges and tea houses Cost with airplane flight to Lukla: $4999* Cost with helicopter flight to Lukla: $5799* * 20% discount on trek cost when you register and provide $1500 deposit by December 15. To minimize your risk in investing in this trek during this time of uncertainty, we have the following payment and refund policies: • Full refund of your payments if you cancel before March 15. • Final trip payment due March 15. • If the trek is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions after March 15, we will refund as much as we can. However, some funds may not be refundable due to payments made for permits, lodging, and porters. • For anything we cannot refund, we will credit you those funds and you can use them anytime on future treks, training, and other services our company provides.

Everest Base Camp Trek Overview: The Mt. Everest region is one of the most popular trekking regions in Nepal and for good reason; it offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the country and hence has become one of the most sought after adventure trips in the world. This trek is a great fusion of incredible scenery, challenging high altitude hiking, and experiencing Sherpa people and their unique culture. There are several ways to start this trip of a lifetime. The most common way is by flying to the Lukla airport (2800m), trekking to Everest Base Camp, back to Lukla, and then flying back to Kathmandu. This trek takes you through the most popular villages of the Khumbu to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest (8,848m/29,021ft). The trek also lets you encounter the friendliness of local Sherpa people who call this wonderland their home. They have a rich culture and interesting traditions that must be experienced. Trek highlights include visiting Everest Base Camp and hiking to Kalapattar (5550m), which means Black Rock, for dramatic views of Mt. Everest, Pumori, Nuptse, and Lhotse, and other peaks of the entire Khumbu region.
