RECESS & LUNCHES In Vacation Care we like to encourage healthy eating. If you choose to send your child with a treat for lunch like a cup of noodles or heat up meals, please ensure it is labelled and in a throw away or reusable container that can be returned home. Please take note of the days your children need to bring a packed lunch as we are unable to heat lunches on excursion days. Your child must have an adequately packed recess and lunch, a labelled drink bottle with water each day unless otherwise advised. Please remember that if you do not provide your child/ren with Recess ($2) or Lunch ($3) there will be a fee charged to your account. *If this becomes a regular occurrence you will be contacted by either the Director or Assistant Director for further discussion. All children must bring a water bottle on excursions and if one is not brought from home, a water bottle will be supplied and a charge of $2 will apply. LATE PICK UP Our service closes at 6pm each night. If for some reason you cannot collect or arrange for your child/ren to be picked up by that time, please phone us on (08) 8254 5827 and advise us as soon as possible. Late fees will apply. BELONGINGS Please remember to label all of your child’s belongings when coming to Vacation Care i.e. hats, drink bottles, lunch boxes and jumpers. We have had a large number of items that have been left behind from previous Vacation Cares that have been unnamed and we have been unable to find their owners. Please remember to check that your child has all of their belongings when leaving at the end of the day. If you have lost something, please check our lost property rack to see if your belongings are on there. Please ensure each child has their own individual back pack each day, a wheelie/side bags and sharing bags are not appropriate for excursions. We recommend that you supply your child/ren a change of clothes in case of any accidents or messy activities.
WHAT TO BRING As Vacation Care begins please encourage your child/ren to read the program and the “What to Bring” section on a daily basis when attending. There will be day’s where your child/ren will be required to bring in different items, whether it be for a dress up day, for a craft that we will be doing, or it may be that they need to wear the appropriate shoes or attire for the day. If your child/ren doesn’t have these items, it will compromise their participation on the day as we won’t have the supplies to cover them not bringing the requested item. NO ELECTRONICS SYMBOL You will notice on the program we have stated a couple of “Electronic Free Days”. We ask that your child/ren don’t bring electronics on these days, however if they happen to make their way to OSHC they will be locked away in the office until your child/ren are collected. YELLOW T-SHIRTS We will be wearing yellow T-shirts on some Vacation Care excursions (symbol to identify when a yellow t-shirt is required). We encourage children to wear their own yellow T-shirt otherwise they will be supplied with one if required. This is to make it easier for educators to tell which children are ours at a quick glance when we’re on an excursion. This means they need to be worn on the outside of the rest of their clothes. If it is cold the children are more than welcome to wear a yellow jacket or jumper. EXCURSIONS & INHOUSE ACTIVITIES As you can imagine, excursion days are extremely busy. If your child/ren are booked in on an excursion day, please ensure you are here by the requested time so that we have time to organise all the children. Some excursions require additional items, reading the ‘what to bring’ on the program for that day will ensure your child doesn’t miss out. For information about the excursions, please refer to the consent information for everything you need to know. *Activity Charges will be added to your account, there is no need to bring in cash on the day.
